Mitchell had his ICD fitted last week and all went well,
What i would like to ask members is He started Entresto on a low starter dose of 24mg/26mg today he has been really dizzy, By that i mean when he gets up from the armchair and walks 10 steps or so, I think it is a BP drop that is causing this brought on by the new meds,
Has other members had the same thing happen on this drug? does it improve with time? Is there anything we can do to help over come this dizzyness?
Mitch really needs to stick with this drug as there isn't much else they can offer to help him, I would be really grateful of any advice please,
many thanks

I also get the drop in BP when I take Entresto. It has got better over the months but I am restricted to the "starter" dose because of this and the effect the stronger dose has on my body.
Diuretics also drop your BP so I tend to space them out.
Thank you, Can i please ask did you feel any benefit from being on the starter dose? Hubby suffered a upset tummy to start with but that has gone now, He also now seems to had a cough too, We are not too worried about that as test show his lungs and chest are fine, many thanks
I noticed a huge difference with Entresto however I would say it took me ages to get the correct balance of drugs for me. My Heart Failure Nurse is happy that the lower dose will be having a positive effect - which it is.
One thing I learned was not to just accept pain, nausea, breathlessness etc. There are many drugs out there and it may take a while to get the correct blend for your husband.
thank you so much, Hubby has a app with the heart nurse on the 5th, He takes so many meds in the mornings, So we have split these into two doses, some before food and some after food and this seems to be helping, He did suffer breathlessness when in bed but that seems to really have improved
