Excersize during 2WW?

So we had our first medicated IUI on Saturday and I have read lots of conflicting information on excersize during this time. I am usually really active and go to the gym, do weight classes/bootcamp and spinning. The though of not doing this is filling me with dread (I do it for my mind aswell as trying to stay healthy), but I obviously don’t want to do anything that will harm the possibility of getting a BFP. Should I just carry on as normal, and obviously not go as heavy as I usually do, or should I give in and give it a rest for a couple of weeks?! What has everyone else done?

My clinic says no exercise in the 2ww.....no jumping around etc and no heavy lifting either. The only thing they do suggest is gentle walks in the fresh air. Good luck.xx

Thankyou for your reply. I guess I’m just trying to carry on as normal but it’s already so difficult! Lots of walking it is ☺️ xx

Your exercise week sounds like mine - it will also mean I have so much more time on my hands which isn’t what you want in the 2WW!

Walking everywhere it is though ☺️ good luck xx

Your exercise routine sounds very similar to mine and all the conflicting information about you can/can’t do confused me as well.

The way the nurses explained it to me is.... you don’t want to tire your body and muscles out to much, as you don’t want to direct your blood flow away from your uterus towards recovering muscles. But if you’re used to cardio then it can be good to get your heart rate up a little to improve your circulation and get the blood flowing towards your uterus. I just stick to gentle walking during the 2ww or if the weathers bad I’ll go to the gym and sit on one of the comfy bikes (with proper chair seats) and gently peddle whilst reading. Good luck with the 2ww xx
