Since I'm up anyway
With this stupid sciatica keeping me up all hours, I thought I'd mention something that might be of interest and even more to fellow COPD sufferers, and especially for those who might be seeking lung transplants. I have a neighbor who had a transplant not long ago. Maybe two years? I'm not really sure

QE Birmingham, Liver transplant Support Group – Volunteers Required.
Those of you who received a liver transplant over the past 12 or so years, may well have met with some of the Liver transplant Support Group volunteers either on ward 726 or even at the transplant assessment clinic. Some of you may recall Mr Alan Hyde who has been working on the ward as a Volunteer for

QE Birmingham Liver transplant news.
I was at a meeting last night with the Liver transplant Support Group at the QE. One of the items of discussion, involved the new liver transplant perfusion machine which was licensed for use back in January of this year. It has since been realised that although this machine is a wonderful piece or kit

Hi, 5 weeks post surgery
I was wondering what exercise recommendations any of you might have as I'm having trouble figuring out what to do to build up my strength and endurance to the point it was before :) -a 17 year old deceased donor kidney transplant recipient

Cryptococcus
I am a post liver transplant recipient. I got Cryptococcus in February. When oral meds didn't work, I did two months of amphotericin infusions and had VATS surgery to remove three of the eight nodules that were in my lung. I am wondering if anyone else has had this and what is your story with it? Thanks

Awaiting Kidney Transplant
Hello, everyone. I have questions about being prepared for a kidney transplant. I feel completely unprepared and do not know what questions to ask my transplant coordinator. I have been on dialysis for five years. I have a potential donor who is well into the evaluation process at my transplant center

Due to do this in the morning but as I have a bit of a sore throat and a few aches and pains shall wait until feeling fit. This is the first time I've felt unable to do a run and as week 9 is so special I am a bit fed up, or I was, but just been reading the email update from Parkruns and there's a story
