Hi everyone opened an account yesterday introducing myself under the name Ansel.unfortunatly after writing a war and peace novel as I now can’t access that account I’ve started this new one.i told how I’ve just received a DBD liver transplant at the amazing QE university hospital Birmingham from having hep c most of my adult life .ive gotten so much from here already reading posts by people who are further down the line from me.but if I can offer any advice myself to any pre liver transplant people it would be great.also it will be handy to document my recovery from writing posts.and to any one who’s on the transplant list or ill with cirrhosis there’s a light at the end so stay strong x

Hi Popel my husband is day 6 post transplant at QE. Any tips on next stages would be useful.
Well he’s through the worst.depending on his health before his op will determine the length of time spent in the QE and how they juggle his meds from his blood results.but because it’s new none of us know how we are supposed to be feeling.because I was the worst at worrying over every pain and ache.i still do five weeks later but as the fantastic staff on the ward from the nurses to doctors kept telling me that you’ve just had a massive operation how do you think you’d be feeling.one of the best tips I got told was that by the time I’m discharged I should be up to walking the length of the ward two times.im still no where near fit but I can see the difference every day.it’s baby steps.hope your both ok cause I know it’s been a hell of journey till now for both of you.x
Hey again! Welcome back. Try again to access your previous account if youd rather use it. I know this has happened to a few members and seems to remedy for most by retrying to sign in after a period of time has past. Technology lol.
