An update from yesterday’s post.well

I’m realising that it takes a further amount of hospital visits and juggling of medication in particular prograf after a liver transplant before you can say your out of the woods finally.although some may not have any issues.so I’m in the hospital in the amazing countess of Chester.were I’m struggling with my kidneys also the worse cold I’ve ever had.the doctors have been liaising with Birmingham who have reduced my Tacc.my kidney problems could be caused by either the Tacc or an infection in my bowel apparently picked up while having a caffeter In for five weeks which I only had took out on Friday gone because of a few problems they had putting it in.so im hooked up to fluid at the minute while waiting for an ultrasound.but i suppose it’s all routine and everything will be fine.wouldnt it be Great though if none of us would see the inside of s hospital again.x Paul

Hi Paul. Hope they get you sorted out very soon and you're back home again in your own comfy bed. You're in the best hands and it's amazing what difference a couple of days can make. Hope you manage to get some sleep tonight, I resorted to ear plugs, lol. Wishing you all the best. Alf

Funny you say that.its also become mine lol.although it wasn’t looking out for me this time .a doctor mentioned that she’s on a fraction of what we take.hers is for Arthritis and it knocks the hell out of her.does it also mean it’s hard to shake bugs and viruses? Besides picking them up easily.x

It is... I have a cold at the moment and it's turned into a chest infection but this has happened now everytime I have had a cold 😢

Last year I had six infections in the space of 2 months which was started by catching a cold...

The thing is with why you have picked up your just recently transplanted and your body also adjusting to the meds... I was taken back in 2 months after transplant with an infection called cmv I was in over my first Xmas and new year but the body adjusts over time xx

Wishing you well xx

Keep on fighting, picking up stuff is nasty post op. I know, after the transplant I really resented getting anything else, I could no even face the dentist for 6 months.

I really appreciate how hard it will be, but I am sure it will all get fixed and you will back home very soon.

My thoughts are with you
