Could Someone Explain The TTGIgA Test Please?
I have recently had some blood tests done due to low vitamin B12 and long term issues with
iron
deficiency.

Underactive Thyroid?
Finally had my
iron
and b12 reviewed and whilst low end were deemed 'normal'. I have had three months of
iron
tablets and five b12 injections which have helped with some of the above but now feel like symptoms have returned as this was three months ago now.

Where can I get my mineral levels tested?
I test bloods, including vitamins and
iron
, regularly. But I have no idea what my zinc and magnesium etc. levels are. Is there a home test kit I can use that doesn't cost the earth?

Anyone started eating wfpb (whole food plant-based) to improve thyroid or cognitive function?
I have a multimodal goitre but thyroid tests show up as ‘within normal range’ but also have 2 large ovarian cysts (no uterus since 2010),
iron
deficiency, insomnia, ecotropics (gp says it’s not worrisome), high cholesterol.

Just a little rant
Phytic acid and oxalates is a nutrient killer ( calcium,
iron
, Iodine, etc). Look up foods high in these 2 things. Switch to a sprouted bread, which greatly reduces phytic acid. Look into greens, nuts and legumes of any kind and find out their levels of these 2 things, you will be shocked.

Should I accept dose reduction?
Not tested this year but My haemoglobin and MCH are always at the bottom of the range with RDW right at the top of the range so I feel I should push for an
iron
panel. But why is TSH and FT4 the same on 75mcg as 85mcg?

Iron supplement help
I have ordered the three arrows
iron
repair to see if I can increase ferritin. Can anyone tell me from my recent results, if one 20mg capsule a day would push my other results over the range? Or would it take a much larger amount? I also take viviscal with 14mg of
iron
in it. Thank you!

teeth clenching
I’m titrating NDT Armour over the last year but I’ve got a hypo symptom that’s bothering me, nighttime teeth clenching. I have no knowledge I’m doing this. I take amitriptyline and once I get to sleep midnight to 1am, I’m out for the count. I think the dentist told me September 2023 that I was clenching

zinc and magnesium dosage
I take vit d, and
iron
and folic acid as my nhs blood tests showed I was deficient. My b12 was fine. I also take Selenium. I believe I should be taking magnesium and zinc too but wasn’t sure at what dosage and if anyone had any recommendations on brands? Thanks a million!

Tigger is bouncing around Winnie the Pooh, because he is happy his RLS is better
I was originally trialing 5 microgram 7 day patches that got me out of that dark tunnel but wasn’t 100% effective so after the initial 3 week trial I wrote to Dr Christopher Murphy explained the situation and he arranged for me to collect 10 microgram 7 day patches from Salford Royal Infirmary. I applied

What to do ….
I’m also on EPO injections because I was extremely anaemic for a long time despite
iron
infusions etc. I do feel the pandemic has also contributed to not having bmb etc sooner as it was only in March this year I had a face to face appointment - since January 2020.

TMS/TBS, Buprenorphine tip
I have just completed TMS/TBS(theta burst stimulation) treatments(36 TMS+10 TMS/TBS) It has been a game changer for the post Dopamine agonist depression, that was quite severe and unresponsive to meds. I currently have no depression symptoms. What I have found is that the RLS symptoms are decreased

GP knew less than I did about RLS :’-(
She seemed to think
iron
wouldn’t help as I’m not anemic. I’m going to buy
iron
supplements anyway and paracetamol and codeine tablets as it’s all getting too much. She’s referring me to a neurologist but that’ll take months. I feel so disappointed. She apologised for not knowing much about it.

W3R1 - lead leg running
At least my dog was obedient and she was happy to run with me :)I googled reasons for lead leg running feeling, and I don't expect any of the following: -
iron
deficiency - I hope not - dehydration - I was drinking a lot recently - intense training - debatable, I did have additional rest day - poor
