Vitamin Supplements for PMR
I am thinking of taking ‘one a day’ vitamin D tablets and Multivitamins plus
Iron
(touch aneamic when blood tested). Wondering if these will help or hinder my PMR and if there are others I should consider?

On Thyroxine - 8 weeks bloods shows TSH has dropped but still feel dreadful.
I’ve got b12,
iron
and vit d supplements to start taking (I didn’t do this earlier as was confused as to whether this would disrupt my levels and affect if my dosage needs to be increased) So my question is.

Yesterday I paid for a video gp appointment and they sent him to our local hospital where he had extensive tests including
iron
levels, dehydration, ecg, magnesium, b12, white blood cells and various other blood tests. He also had a drip in case he was dehydrated.

Almost There, Pramipexole to Pregabalin
I posted here back in early May when I was transitioning from Pramipexole to Pregabalin With the advice that I received here I decided to see my GP and have my
iron
checked also to discuss my next step in treating withdrawal from a DA. As it stands my
iron
levels are above the recommended numbers.

Serum B12. 459 (189-883 ng/L) Serum Folate 5.2 (3.1-20.0 ng/L)
Iron
18.2 (7-26 umo1/L) Transferring 2.37 (2.00-3.60 g/L) Transferrin Sat. Index 31 % Transferrin saturation 20% may suggest
iron
deficiency whilst saturation 60% suggest
iron
overload. Thanks in advance 🙏

Where can I get my mineral levels tested?
I test bloods, including vitamins and
iron
, regularly. But I have no idea what my zinc and magnesium etc. levels are. Is there a home test kit I can use that doesn't cost the earth?

Not a good day
Also got a blood test this Friday to check
Iron
, B12, VitD and thyroid. Sorry for long post just needed to get things off my chest. Truth be told I'm funding the emotional/mental side of recovery the hardest, especially as everything was going so well before my "blip". Just so fed up at the moment

Meds Review.
Will now switch from Atorvastatin to Rosuvastatin but he also sent me a link to book a blood test at local hospital to check my thyroid,
iron
, b12 and vitD. He could see results of my most recent blood test for cholesterol, hb1ac, etc whilst he was talking to me.

Low iron in pregnancy; Spatone recommended - what was tested?
I don’t know much about
iron
but from this site I have learned that a full
iron
panel consists of four elements. It looks like my daughter has had one element tested. Is that sufficient? Is Spatone the NHS go to remedy? Would it be recommended here on the basis of one test reading of 109?

Can Iron tablets trigger AF?
The GP has just started me on
iron
pills (Ferrous Fumarate 210 mg) for
iron
deficiency. I took the second tablet this morning and (as an overthinker) I realised my episode of AF coincided with taking my first
iron
table.

Heading in the right direction
Iron
: in range but low end Folate: low end of range I have had my levothyroxine upped to 75mcg. Then review again in six weeks. Test shows its auto immune problem. I maybe being impatient..... but does the tiredness improve? I am signed off work until the end of July.

GP knew less than I did about RLS :’-(
She seemed to think
iron
wouldn’t help as I’m not anemic. I’m going to buy
iron
supplements anyway and paracetamol and codeine tablets as it’s all getting too much. She’s referring me to a neurologist but that’ll take months. I feel so disappointed. She apologised for not knowing much about it.

Underactive Thyroid?
Finally had my
iron
and b12 reviewed and whilst low end were deemed 'normal'. I have had three months of
iron
tablets and five b12 injections which have helped with some of the above but now feel like symptoms have returned as this was three months ago now.

Am I going mad?
He also sent a kit for stool sample to check for blood loss - possible reason for low
iron
stores.
