Also going to request full

assessment from my GP in the meantime and hope to get that ready before my appointment with Dr Thomas. The assessment could have been done years ago but can’t recall the results. Should this be monitored regularly?

Blood result and raised MCV
I had a recent blood test as I've been supplementing with gentle
iron
, general A-Z vits and B12 since the spring. I particularly wanted to check up on my
iron
/ferritin status. I've never had a positive diagnosis of PA, or even of B12 deficiency as my levels have always been 'in range'.

First SI, the pain, ouch!
I have been taking high dose
iron
as was severely deficient but this has not caused me any gastro effects apart from mild constipation alleviated by Vit C. 2. Is this normal for IM injected muscles to go on aching for so long? Not sure I can take this reaction every other day. 3.

High IronLow Ferritin
Hi, after my last results 2 months ago my ferritin level has dropped further regardless of the B12 suplaments (was told they are supposed to aid in converting
iron
to ferritin) however they have been no use. My ferritin has dropped further. Any recommendations on tests or suplaments?

Tapering off pramexole
When I told him I couldn't do oral
iron
because of the reflux he referred me to a hemotologist (once I found one who takes my insurance) for
iron
infusions. Unfortunately that guy is backed up until mid-May so I have to wait, but I'm on the cancellation list in case something comes up earlier.

PV and loss of hair?
My hematocrit is 37% but I also have very low
iron
right now (which is the intention). Since a few months i lose a lot of hear. Does anyone recognize this? Is PV to blame? Could the lack of
iron
be the cause? I look forward to hear from you and wish you all the best!

8 week bloodtest
Hi all, I've been on a reduced levothyroxine dose of 125mcg for the last 8 weeks and i stopped taking the
iron
tablets as my stomach was too painful, so for the past 7 weeks i've been using an
iron
patch.

Good news re. blood tests
Red platelet count is still quite high 479 and also Serum
iron
level which was 47.5, so not sure whether that would indicate the need to cut the
iron
supplement back Now all I need to know is when I can stop taking the ferrous sulphate, or if there should be a reduction in the amount per day.

Please does anyone know a private Rheumatologist in Cornwall or Devon who I would be able to go and discuss my osteoporosis with? Thank you.
a few years..RLS nearly 40 years…, —————————————— My other main problem is Restless Legs Syndrome RLS, which has been torture but is now fairly well under control with intravenous
iron
infusions periodically. Strong family history, mum had it and 3 of my 4 children do.

D day is here!
After being left quite ill after a failed
iron
infusion, but made better by one which worked with a blood transfusion, feeling good. Thats not to say that there arent butterflies, of course there are. But had a good day yesterday, at Brisyol zoo watching the bears.

Don't want to go back on the pill/more surgeries! Deep infiltrating endo on bowel and uterine polyp removed recently for heavy bleeding.
Had so much bleeding and clots for 3 weeks, needed blood transfusion and
iron
infusion due to excessive blood loss and severe anaemia. Discovered and removed uterine polyp and it stopped the bleeding immediately. Polyp was the cause of the heavy bleeding for me.
