Please advise - symptoms worsening
Hi all, As you may remember from previous posts, I’m still borderline anaemic and so I increased my
iron
dosage as per instructions several weeks ago. My FT3 has also plummeted from a decade average of 6 to now 4.8 (range 3.1-6.8) I’m getting horrific migraines (they start with blinding auras).

low ferritin/T3 capsules
My ferritin test result is 24 (10-300) Nice guidelines say under 30 can have
iron
infusion? Should I push for that? I picked up my T3 prescription and was planning on splitting them but they are 10mcg capsules.Roma is the brand.

cytomel and food
My synthroid bottle has a warning on it about not taking it with
iron
or magnesium and taking an hour away from food or drink. My cytomel doesn't have the same warning. Can I assume that food and drink don’t interfere with absorption with cytomel? Many thanks!

Baby aspirin and iron tablets in IVF pregnancy.
My midwife prescribed 2 x 75mg aspirin and
iron
tablets at 12 weeks. I went to my 36 week appointment and had a completely different midwife and she has told me to stop taking both medications. Has anyone else taken these doses for an IVF pregnancy and been told to stop at 36 weeks?

CRP raised. Does this affect ferritin result in iron panel?
Does the abnormal CRP result affect the
iron
or Serum Transferrin result, I.e. a false normal. I'm clutching at all straws, trying to find answers. Obviously, my other blood test results will ensue in due course. Thankyou for any help.

Iron levels update & advice
Looking at my other
iron
markers (which I don't fully understand) would advice be to stop all together for 8 -10 weeks and test again? Or continue taking 1 every other day .. dont want them to plummet again but is it a case of trial and error? Thank you in advance!

Rapid Heart Rate & Metallic Taste
I have had palpitations overnight and a strong metallic taste in my mouth since starting
Iron
tablets. I started B12 injections in November last year and have been on Ferrous Gluconate tablets now reduced to one every other day.

Could This Be Thyroid?
We thought a lot of this might be due to silent migraines and
iron
deficiency so I had an
iron
infusion in January. Since then my fatigue has only gotten worse - starting with muscles cramps and pains and progressing to joint aches which I have never had before.
