Following previous posts on this forum I have now, over a few months, decreased my Ropinirole from 8 tablets per day to 1 1/2 and will be decreasing to 1 per day on the 19th August when I will begin my Pregabalin treatment as suggested by Sue. Can you give me any indication how long it will take for

Concern about Levothyroxine
Anyway my question is, I understand Levothyroxine contains
iodine
- to replace the missing
iodine
in the thyroid, but am obviously worried that once my TSH is high enough for my GP to prescribe it, I wont tolerate it.

Survey on diet, nutrition and health knowledge and awareness - Final Reminder!
Iodine
, a nutrient found in dairy and some fish, plays an important role in thyroid disease, but is not well known by the public. Understanding how people gain information about diet and (thyroid) health, to convert it into practice is important to inform awareness campaigns and medical education.

Can we talk about diet and supplements please?
It’s also often mentioned that we shouldn’t supplement
iodine
, however, this seems to only apply to people on levo, as levo replaces the
iodine
and further supplementation would create an excess which is not good for thyroid problems.

Not reacting well to T3
It got elevated due to me trying to take
iodine
. I took a small dose of it, under 100 mcg and just like it did last time I tried it, it threw my thyroid out of balance. I stopped taking it. My TSH back in Dec was 6.6, so where it is now, things have improved.

Exhaustion and nausea
I have a question I hope someone may have an answer for. After 20 years of being on Pramipexole I stopped it overnight. It was not a good idea. Anyway I persevered and tried a bunch of meds - Pregabalin first, then Trazadone with Codeine, then Gabapentin. Nothing worked. This went on for a year without

Help interpreting Medichecks Advanced Thyroid blood test
I have been on a strict gluten free, dairy free, sugar free, soy free and low
iodine
diet for a couple of months and have felt A TON better. These results bear this out. I'm on 100 mcg of Levothyroxine and 5 mcg of Cytomel. The only values that seem at all close to out of range seems to Free T3.

I think I’ve messed up!
Started to feel not so great. Was taking 2 grains of NDT and 25mcg T3( background RAI therapy around 10 yrs ago) I went to the doctors who took bloods. Results as detailed. I am not sure why my results are so low. I have been on the same dosage for a long time- blood results were always good! Has NDT

Advice on codeine v tramadol
I'm hoping for some advice because my doctor and the neurologists have been no help. For the past few years I have been taking 50mg tramadol, 300mg Gabapentin and 50mg sertraline. Prior to this I managed to wean off Pramipexole. I haven't increased the dosage of any of my current meds because I had hoped
