Cancer Diet Studies
All the cancer diet studies we have discussed lately appear to have one thing in common. That is the authors have never developed nor witnessed the development of a successful cancer diet. If they had, they wouldn't appear as a 5th grade science project . . . who outsourced the statistics. If we could

Does anyone have any insight on how or if V +O treatment affects insulin sensitivity?
My husband is on V+O treatment, on cycle 7, he also is type 2 diabetic. Ever since starting treatment, he has had to add fast-acting insulin after meals to his regimen. We attributed this to the steroids given during O infusions, but those are now in the past, and he is not able to reduce his A1C and

Worried about lack of mobility
Hello All, So my husband who has Childs C and has had TIPPS procedure for Portal Vein clot has recently damaged his right leg (not broken but needs MRI as they think it tendon) and broken his left wrist. By moving a very small soleus muscle while sitting ,blood sugar decreases, says article published in iScience.
University of Houston Texas paper published at the end of 2022 is sparking a wave of interest Reducing the level of sugar and insulin in the blood for diabetics after eating by 52% (better than many diabetes medications) with a very simple movement and you do not need to make an effort or take

Pcos with regular but very light periods?
Hi all, I have lean pcos and was diagnosed via ultrasound after coming off the pill a year ago and not having a period. I had elevated testosterone levels on a blood test but everything else was fine (I have no unwanted hair growth). I started very lightly spotting a month ago and to the day I'm now

Dexcom disappointment
My 7 year old granddaughter was fitted with a Dexcom 6 yesterday. We all had high hopes for it giving her and her parents more freedom, without the regular injections etc. However, as soon as it was fitted, the alerts were beeping and her parents spent the rest of the day studying the manual and trying

Diet and RA
I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes just before Christmas, with my readings being alarmingly high. I was completely shocked as I had no symptoms and was within the healthy BMI range. I’ve just recently started on insulin (2 more injections every day on top of Methotrexate and Benepali weekly!).

Prostate Cancer Patients Shouldn't be so Quick to Dismiss Metformin (despite some contrary opinions on Advanced Prostate Cancer forum)
Finally, the researchers theorized that
“metformin diminishes leukocyte activation,” which is beneficial because the release of TNF-α from leukocytes “may inhibit
signaling and impair glucose uptake.”

Developed ARF after taking sulfa drug, spend about 4 months on dialysis. I’m stage 4 kidney disease with GFR of 25. I was told I can qualify for transplant but would love to find some other way.. Live Rural Nebraska and going to dialysis is problematic. Does anyone know of another supplement like

type 2 diabetes
Happy and healthy New Year everyone. I had a call from my GP practice on 23 December saying I have type 2 diabetes and my levels were really high - not to eat anything sweet and avoid carbohydrates. What a shock! I’ve had a couple of appointments since then and have two tomorrow to start taking insulin
