miscarriage advise needed

Hi all!

So we used donor sperm and have had two FET’s so far both ended in miscarriage(first at 7th week and second was chemical)! Can this be normal and still carry a baby to term?

We are same sex couple so I’ve never tried to conceive before, so no known fertility issues and all tests (bloods, hycosy etc) came back perfext at the beginning of this process with exception of a fibroid but they said it wouldn’t be in the way of a pregnancy.

My BMI is high at 35 and I’m just gone 34yo! Is there hope and is this normal that it can just happen that way or is this to be expected each transfer and I’ll forever have reoccurring miscarriages?

I’m working on weight but just can’t shift it - it’s been like this for the past 2 years - I’m actually going to move back to Mediterranean/Atkins style diet now! Our clinic have said try another transfer but will check bloods again incase Thyroid is under active. I’ve had a full insulin check and no issues with insulin or diabetes.

Sorry for the dump of thoughts, just a little concerned now 😞 hoping to hear similar stories with success on next FET after two miscarriages in a row! Thank you x 🙏

sorry for your losses.

Where is your fibroid? I only ask because I was always told mine wouldn’t impact fertility by original clinic but when I changed clinic they did a 3D sis and found a load of fibroids, referred me for an MRI and found even more and I ended up having loads removed.

I had 3 MC and 3 chemicals before I had a successful pregnancy. Now to this day I don’t know whether it was the move to donor eggs, the fibroid removals or the increased progesterone as we did all three things on our most round. But where one clinic said my fibroid would ‘move out of the way and not cause trouble’ my second clinic said it had to go immediately! Might be worth double checking it and your womb? x

thanks Daisy and congrats too! It’s on the Left and it’s subserosal fibroid they said. I’ll defo mention it again to them specially if third transfer doesn’t go our way. But I think because it’s subserosal it was ok!
