Poor Conversion T4 to T3 update and supplement advice (Magnesium, Vit B complex, Vit C)
Nearly two months after my Medichecks blood tests and c5 weeks after GP blood test results (see previous posts) I've managed to get an answer from my GP - he has consulted the Endo at local hospital who says I'm a poor converter... Apparently current NHS guidance is to increase the amount of T4 I'm

Periods started back up again.
Hiah,Yesterday I started my menstrual cycle after a year of not having one due to taking the deceptoyl Injection and hrt. I had surgery in December and stage 3 was removed. I finished the injection and hrt in Feb and my period had only just come back. This time it has been different, the pain is there

Can anyone advise what these results mean please? I am not on Thyroid meds but feel something is very off, I’m in perimenopause also. These results were 7 months ago. I’m losing hair, shaking inside, cold all the time, weight loss. I’m on HRT. I had iron deficient anaemia in 2020. Feel like I’m going

GP Update
Spoken to a sensible GP. Will put a blood form out tomorrow for iron, B12 etc and then look at increasing Levothyroxine by 25mcg. They did try saying about TSH being within ‘normal’ range, however I was able to talk about T3/T4 etc. So thank you to everyone that has reached out and replied to me. I

Comments On Blood Test Results Please
I don't post very often but I read a lot on here, and after having a Blue Horizon full thyroid blood test, I would be interested in the thoughts of anyone on what came out of it. I had radioactive iodine some years ago and am on levothyroxine (100mg). My results from the GP always come back as 'normal

Iron low
Hello, I just got back my blood work test and the iron read a little low, so I was wondering if anyone else here on the panel with pernicious anemia has had low iron. My iron binding is within range. Iron level is in range but iron percent transferring saturation is reading slightly low

Iron levels
Could I ask for a reference for the advice on ferritin levels? I've just been looking at the Mayo Clinic algorithm of July 2021 and they suggest that for serum ferritin concentrations equal to or less than 75 μg/L , iron therapy should be started. But I think I've read posts in this forum suggesting

Burning mouth syndrome
Does anyone suffer with burning mouth syndrome. I had a heart attack 2021 and have been suffering from this for 3 months now, it is very frustrating, been to ENT who were no help, been tested for B12/folic acid /iron, there's plenty of articles online saying what could be a cause, including some blood

blood test back - any thoughts?
So now I am off all my meds, and started taking 200mg iron a night a month ago, my ferritin level just came back as 80, which I was quite surprised. The last one in 2020 was over 120. Should I double the dose and split it through the day or take 2 tabs before bed? Also my white blood count came back

Help with results please
Hello, Just trying to work out if thyroid looks ok please and doesn't need any further investigation? I know I'm iron deficient with a low ferritin level but have been supplementing for 8 weeks now and have got up from 8 ug/L to 31 ug/L and am no longer anaemic either as Hb has raised a little too

Anyone know anything about ferritin and trans ferritin saturation levels?
OK so I got some results back re iron and B12 and would so appreciate some expert understanding from anyone of you. I believe I might have lowish ferritin. It's 39ug but my transferritin saturation is 52%, which is high. How do I increase my iron levels if I need to, with high transferritin saturation

Blood Results (Low FT4, Normal TSH) - Warrants GP Review?
Hi everyone, I’m new to this group, and hope it’s ok to post this here. Sorry, I tried to keep it brief, but it’s much longer than I planned!🙂 I’m a female in my mid 30’s and have long struggled with a range of symptoms (fatigue, poor quality sleep, digestive issues, headaches, depression/anxiety

Iron Deficiency Without Anemia (IDWA)
In my "I'm Alive!" post yesterday I discussed my crashing with effectively no iron in my system with a condition called Iron Deficiency Without Anemia (IDWA). As promised here is a more detail discussion of that condition that anyone with autoimmune PA/AIG should keep their eye on. Knowing that iron

Iron deficiency & picky eating
Hello! My daughter is 4.5 years old and is very iron deficient. We found out she is anemic about 2 years ago. I used to be able to give her iron drops in her sippy cup when she was smaller, but as she has gotten older it has been extremely difficult to get her to eat any iron enriched foods (sensory

Just got updated thyroid hormone results — see why I'm tired.
Well, I can see why I am so tired. The iron panel is certainly much better, but not as high as I think it should be, but since this is my field, I will keep working on it. Serum zinc will take about a week to get back. B12 and vitamin D are very good / optimal for hypothyroid, so it's not low nutrients
