Unrelenting pain post chemo dose
Hi, 3 years post mbc diagnosis And my scan in December showed progression in both my liver and lungs. There is no spread into my bones. Commenced on 3 weekly epirubicin and cyclophosphamide. I'm on my 2nd cycle but during the 2 cycles I have the most horrendous, unrelenting pain in my upper back area

My Bio gives full details, but in a nutshell, I was diagnosed with APCa with extensive bone mets last year, have been on ADT for 7 months and Xtandi for 4 months. I had a CT scan in December which showed little change from the previous one in August except for some progression in a pelvic lymph node

Symptoms of PMR?
GM Everyone! I’ve been a member here for a few years, and I’ve had PMR. At one time I was on 90 mgs of prednisone. My CRP was 82! It took me 2 yrs to wean down and in the meantime, I was also diagnosed with NHL. My rheumatologist felt that the cancer was elevating the inflammation in my body. So

Is Radium223 treatment suitable option for me now
DX in 2020 with Stage 4 PCa and have done full course of Chemo treatment. Have been on Abiraterone for over 18 month but now it seems to be failing as PSA is continually rising; now 18 (was 2.39 back in April 2022) . I'm now mCRPC and still taking Abiraterone, ADT and Zometa. Signed up for new trial

Reaching the end of treatment, suggestions beyond Docetaxel and Carboplatin.
1st Docetaxel in ‘21 held psa down to 8, but further treatments have been with no success. I read once that the steroid to use with chemo could be Dexamethasone 1 mg rather than prednisone 5 mg. Is there a clinical reason why? What next?

Hi, just feeling bit wobbly, I was diagnosed stage 4 serious OC March 2020, I've had chemo / ultra radical surgery and more chemo then on to olaparib. Had my telephone call to get next prescription of olaparib. Feeling well generally had magnesium problems but tablets and infusions sort that out

Lu-177-PSMA-I&T for low volume Metastatic Castration-Resistant Prostate Cancer
I've heard they've been doing this in Germany recently. Is anyone familiar with Lu-177-PSMA-I&T for Metastatic Castration-Resistant ogliometastatic spine mets? Compared to chemo? Survival time increase? Side effects?

Holiday inspiration!
Hi lovely ladies, After reading about Beth’s amazing travels in New Zealand, I hope to encourage you to follow your dreams with travel when you can. I am from the UK, and was crushed when I had to cancel my planned silver wedding anniversary trip to New England twice, the first time because of the pandemic

Thigh ache
I finished weekly Taxel just before Christmas, and it has left me completely poleaxed! I have fluid inside and outside my lung and the pressure makes movement around the house difficult. I have had to give up housework and shopping etc. and spend my days just sitting. Unfortunately this ascites is too

Docetaxel induced febrile neutropenia
Just sharing my experience. Following 1st cycle of Docetaxel on 16th Jan 2023, I had an episode of febrile neutropenia (Neutrophil count: 0.07 X 10^9/L) on 25Jan 2023 needing hospital admission and IV antibiotics. I was poorly for 24 hours. Oral ulcers which I had are said to be almost diagnostic

considering Pluvicto or Erleada
I finished 2 rounds of low dose CheMo which did not help. I have one kidney so I really need to take care of it. I was in renal failure in July for a few days but back to “normal” now. I also had a mild stroke over Christmas and almost back to “normal” PSA is up to 213 so I need to decide whether

Prolactin
I have been meaning to tackle prolactin (PRL) for at least a dozen years, but there are hundreds of PCa papers and who has the time? It's an important topic that is rarely mentioned. A recent paper (Jan 13, 2003 - my 75th birthday, so how could I ignore it?) has this in the intro (note - PRLR is the

Will IMRT give some relief to very painful bone mets?
My husband is in excruciating pain from the numerous pca bone mets on the spine, shoulder, chest and is now doing 20 IMRT sessions for palliative pain relief. We have done several chemo combination over the past 5yrs but cancer just kept progressing. This is his first ever radiation since diagnosis

Night spasms
I had bowel cancer in May last year and had a hemi-colectomy that was straight forward and needed no further treatment. Nine weeks after that operation I was told that they had found another cancer on the bowel they removed. This turned out to be Low grade serous ovarian cancer. I had a Radical hysterectomy
