The results of my husbands’s bone marrow biopsy shows that the prostate cancer is widespread in his bone marrow and are causing him to have low blood cell levels. He was told he could to chemo with a low level dose of Taxo or go to hospice. I am sharing so people have info on end of life choices.

save my tooth or stick to treatment schedule?
I’m in a bit of a quandary. My January 27th chemo has been postponed until February 10th. My rear molar has infection and needs root canal retreatment. However, I can’t be examined by endodontist until February 6th. Not sure when treatment would be. I could have the tooth pulled next week. But then I

High Creatinine
Hi Ladies, From two months now I have my level of creatinine going up (130). It's probabely due to toxicity of all my previous treatments. Despite of drinking a lot (2 l per day) it doesn't drop. Today I have a CT with contrast which my kidneys will have to metabolise. As my cancer progresses very

Nsclc stage 4 with brain mets
My dad 75 year old was diagnosed in November with stage 4 NSCLC. He started chemo and radiotherapy in Jan and was told although not curative they could help manage and prolong his life. PSA staying down--would any kind of scan be helpful?
Hello: For starters----my PSA went down to .01---July 2022,. Oct 2022 it was less than <.01 and January 2023 it again is <.01. My last Nuclear bone scan was May 2022 and the bone mets were still pretty bright on my scan. I do not have bone pain, and I feel good, most days. I started on Xtandi in

what benefits would I get giving up work?
I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer stage 3 in may 2021 I underwent a hysterectomy followed my chemo and in nov 2021 was told I was in remission. I am on PARPS treatment now and when I asked of the chances of the Cancer reoccurring I was told 75%. I am back at full time work now and am 62 years old.

BEST PORT LOCATION FOR CHEMO?
I may be starting Chemo in a couple of weeks? Meeting with MO after latest PSMA PET Scan, showing probable Apalutamide/Lupron failure. After a 3 month rise from 0.1 to 0.6, he ordered a scan & hinted at Chemo next. Found resolution of old mets. but some new ones. At any rate, although I am 74, I

Hi ladies l hope you are all as well as you can be. I said back in July l would give you a update after finishing 6th recurrence. Thankfully the chemo has done it's job once more apart from a bit of spread in the peritoneal cavity generally things are good and ca125 has gone down to 16. Unfortunately

Looks like lutetium is next for me (if I can get it)
Finished 6 cycles of chemo with Carboplatin added. Scans show mixed results. mipsma 2. Dr. Kwon is suggesting lutetium to push the cancer off the edge of the cliff. He’s suggesting to have it sooner rather than later. I have low tumor load. And Mets to Lymph nodes in pelvic region and subclavical. My

QOL vs EOL Treatments.
I saw this short interview the other day and found it quite interesting. This guy is an oncologist who claims he won’t try to prolong his life with treatments like chemo. As he approaches that age he might have a change of heart. https://youtu.be/TgrO4rrrFgQ Obviously he’s trying to balance the quality

Anyway, having been diagnosed with NSCL cancer I've now been put on a treatment plan, and start on Monday next week. Has anyone got any top tips for getting through the next few months? It all sounds

1st Bone Marrow Biopsy
Hi all. I just had my first bone marrow biopsy yesterday. I have been dealing with MBL / CLL over the last decade and my count is around 50. I do not really have any symptoms except swollen lymph nodes in the neck and groin. I am 52 years old, quite fit (exercise hard 5 times a week) and work full time

Chemotherapy again?
I completed 6 cycles of Docetaxel in March 22, I had a CT scan on 1-15-23 and on the 16th my MO requested pre-approval for docetaxel and was approved. I am currently on Lupron and Zometa and wondering if I am jumping to conclusions that there must have been something on my CT scan that prompted the request

Docetaxel and gemzar together. Too much?
My soon-to-be 77-year-old husband is on a double regimen of chemotherapy. Before starting chemo for advanced prostate cancer, he underwent a PSMA Pet Scan. The scan showed a small node on his left kidney duct. It was decided to give him two infusions, docetaxel for prostate cancer, and gemzar to
