Will Estradiol 0.025 patch for hot flushes cause cancer to come out of hiding?
Hi My husband has been taking Effexor for hot flushes and it does not seem to be effective any longer . He increased the dose from 37.5 to 75 mg and that did not seem to make a difference. He has been off Effexor now and the oncologist is saying to try the low dose Estradiol patch . To be honest we

PSA rockets up to 344
Hello - I received quite shocking news during my visit to the Mayo Clinic last week. My PSA has jumped to 344 from a low of 3.6 last November, when I completed chemo with cabazitaxel. PSA did start to rise quite soon, into double digits, but this is by far my highest PSA ever. Dr. Kwon recommended

I'm desperately in need of help for my mum.
My mum is 89 on chemo, plus she has dialysis 3 times a week. She's also got AF and leg ulcers. She's been on pramiproxal for years and still suffers with RSL. The GP took her off that and put her on quinine but this doesn't do anything for it. They now want to take her off quinine due to the kidney

Falling ALT - Pathway to Sarcopenia? - More Exercise Needed?
Two years in to my de novo high volume metastatic prostate cancer diagnosis, I am pleased to report excellent results so far with triplet therapy (Docetaxel chemo completed, Abiraterone ARPI, Firmagon/Degarelix GnRH antagonist as ADT). However I would be grateful for any advice today.

Advice needed
Hi everyone - after a bit of advice from the collective brain :) We are incredibly lucky enough to have a little boy from our 6th transfer in 2021, and had 5 frozen embryos at the clinic should we decide to try for a sibling. We've now done 2 FETs with exactly the same protocol (steroids / intralipids

ADT failure
We saw my Dad's MO on 5/23. Over the course of 4 weeks my dad's PSA moved from 1.46 to 2.14, He said we need to be on Zytiga for three months before we can deem it a failure, but just like Xtandi, it appears my dad had limited help with it. We have talked about the next steps, chemo and pluvicto. My

Pre-approvals under Medicare
I have regular Medicare plus a supplement and Part D. I'm just starting to research this, but figured many of you have already dealt with this issue. Does Medicare (not Medicare Advantage) do pre-approvals for things like Provenge, chemo, PSMA PET scan, etc.? None of my medical institutions seem to seek

Time to adjust my course, any suggestions?
Psa is on a steady increase again. I was taking extandi for a year up until 11 /23 over that yr my Psa had dropped from 29, 11/22 to 1.4 ,11/23. I was having significant SEs, brain fog mainly so I decided to switch to nubeqa (daralutimide) even tho there was a steady drop in PSA on extandi. Nubeqa

Hello. I'm receiving chemo for the 3rd time since my diagnosis in 2021. I've now had all 3 of the chemo cocktails that are typically used. This time, the cancer has metastasized to my liver. Tiny spots. I just had a scan this week and there is no further metastasis. I will find out today what our

Restless Legs
Hi all - curious if any of you are experiencing pretty intense restless legs? I am a triplet therapy patient and am through the chemo and radiation (maybe quad therapy:)) so wondering if somehow Darolutamide is contributing to this? I also take a statin, a reflux pill, vitamin D, flomax, and cialis
