Hello. I'm receiving chemo for the 3rd time since my diagnosis in 2021. I've now had all 3 of the chemo cocktails that are typically used. This time, the cancer has metastasized to my liver. Tiny spots. I just had a scan this week and there is no further metastasis. I will find out today what our next steps are. I had an allergic reaction to carboplatin during this last treatment so I won't be able to receive it anymore.

I had a reaction to the Carbo too but they put a blinder in it to mask it I had steroids and allergy meds with it ,I believe it was protein , it wasn't tht bad besides gaining weight due to steroids but ask it might be a possibility.

Ask if you have the Folate Receptor Alpha (at 75 or more) and if you do, if you are able to take Elahere as the next cocktail of drugs. I am on Elahere for recurrent ovarian cancer.

How long have you been on Elahere and are you tolerating the side effects easily? Thank you and I hope you have a positive result!

I have had 7 Elahere treatments. I am tolerating the drug very well. I do have blurry eyes but it comes and goes and the blurriness is not bad when it comes...just noticeable.

I am allergic to carboplatin but was able to have it at Dana Farber’s desensitization unit.
