bowel movements
Does anyone else deal with a really sluggish bowel? I feel like the majority of the time, I struggle to empty my bowel and have really hard and slow bowel movements and it doesn’t matter what I eat (foods with lots of fibre etc), it doesn’t seem to make a difference, and then I get really stressed out

pain in stomach and side
hey guys. I’ve had a pain in my left hand flank for about 5 months now that doesn’t seem to go away and also reverts to my stomach also on the left and also recently into my bum. I have lots of gas which feels weird to push out and also have had different bowl movements with the end of the stool sometimes

IBS meds not working....
Hello, I have been struggling with an IBS flare for 3 months, I'm taking Alverine and Peppermint capsules. My GP has checked for celiac disease which thankfully was normal, had my poo checked twice, bloods are fine except for inflammation markers slightly raised, checked my thyroid but it's fine as

rectal bleeding
hello everyone! I am a 28 year old woman who recently started having some rectal bleeding. It is not in my stool (as my stool is completely normal colored, not black or tarry and normal shape) first day it started when I wiped. Next day there was nothing, the following day there was blood in the toilet

How to cancel social events
Hi ladies. Hope your flare free.I'm looking for advice on social events. I know this is so minor in comparison to other issues, but I'm really struggling. I'm currently waiting on my 3rd surgery for hysterectomy and bowel resection. My life is tough at the moment holding down a stressful full time job

Foraminotomy
has anybody had a posterior endoscopic foraminotomy? In particular for bone spurs. I could be looking at this surgery once injections have been exhausted. Would be interested in hearing from people about how they found it, did it work, and crucially what was your post op experience like, pain levels,

Prednisolone and Omeprazole
I have had PMR and GCA for 7 Years and was told I had to take 10 mg daily of Omeprazole which I have been on for the 7 Years. I am now on 3mg steroids but have been getting a lot of tummy upsets and wondered if the long term use of Omeprazole is causing it. I have gone Lactose and Gluten free as well

Positive Cologuard
63 years old, never had colonoscopy and now feel I’m gonna pay the price. No cancer in family (yet), was having no symptoms, went with Cologuard which came back positive in June. Right after that developed extreme stress and anxiety due to mother passing and trouble in family. Then the next week symptoms

Mixed thyroid drugs🤷♀️
Hi everyone ❤️ As many on here will know I'm lactose intolerant and have colitis, I've been on ROMA for around 21 wks started on 10mg now built up to 25mg (20mg morning, 5mg evening) but I've had to spread this out to 10mg morning, 10 mg afternoon, 5mg evening as the bowle /stomach issues are still affecting

Haemorrhagic colitis
Has anyone else been diagnosed with Haemorrhagic colitis, or heard about haemorrhagic colitis. This was diagnosed following a colonoscopy where they found 3 sites x 3cms and treated it with argon cautherisation under general anaesthetic (although they keep telling me it was not ga). I also have endometriosis

chronic constipation
can someone please help me ? I’m literally suffering for 2 and a half years now with chronic constipation and trapped gas. I have no abdominal pain, I just feel everything in the rectum high up where I can’t reach and it’s all soft blobs and I cannot get it out no matter how hard I strain. I don’t understand

struggling!!
Hi everyone, I hope you’re all doing ok. I’m hoping that someone will listen to me and offer a bit of empathy. I only have my husband to talk to and he’s good but he really doesn’t get it. I’ve had IBS for many years but was formally diagnosed about ten years ago. For me it can be constipation or diarrhoea

omeprazole
I’ve been given omeprazole to take to protect my stomach while taking steroids. I was given them when I was taking strong anti inflammatory pills before they agreed for me to try steroids. They cause wind and constipation so wondered if anyone had the same experience or if they were taking something
