Blood clots and blood in urine (no radiation)
My husband had a TURP 8/4/17 (in history below) but has not had any other surgery. Had second round of taxotere last week...next one in two weeks. He's had mild blood in urine since two days after first chemo. A few small clots. Onc says to keep an eye on it. He's away for business this week and just

Unblocking Fallopian tubes at the regency international clinic
Hiya, I would like to find out if anybody has been to and/or Had any success with Fallopian tube catheterisation at the regency international clinic in London? I have spoke to the receptionist and it sounds very promising, their website looks great but I'm struggling to find and reviews or success stories

Long-term T3 and T4 treatment as an alternative to aerobic exercise training in improving cardiac function post-myocardial infarction
Suspect this paper, if noticed, will end up reported as clickbait! More seriously, it really does help to validate the concept that thyroid hormone can be both important and useful in heart disease. Biomed Pharmacother. 2017 Sep 11;95:965-973. doi: 10.1016/j.biopha.2017.09.021. [Epub ahead of print

Urine retention and catheterisation
I am after some understanding on this subject. Twice my partner has had the catheter removed and twice its been put back, due to retaining urine and then getting an infection. Now the nurse has said, there is talk of him possibly having a tube put straight into his bladder, just above the pubic bone.

Cardiologist
I have just come back from the visit to the cardiologist at Southmead, where I was told that he was handing my care over to the interventionist cardiologist at the Bristol Royal Infirmary, who may be able to help me more. However, if my valve problem worsens they won't be able to do anything because

Getting there I hope
I am exhausted this morning after a medical day yesterday! I saw my GP yesterday and told him about my ambulatory oxygen problems. He had not had any of the letters from my respiratory physician but as soon as I gave them to him he was on the ball and is going to contact the respiratory nurse's boss

2 questions: Heart ache and aching joints and muscles
Hi guys, I'm a 48 year old who has recently been diagnosed as having Lone paroxysmal Afib due to not having any of the known causes such as heart disease, sleep apnea, overweight etc etc. I'm on bisoprolol and atorvastatin. I still go into afib several times a day. Some days my hearts aches. Does

Well I didn't expect this!
Hi, I'm 48, fit as a fiddle (or so I thought), then started getting palpitations for no apparent reason. Luckily my wife made me go to my GP and he diagnosed AF - the random kind. So, I've had an echo cardiogram, CT angiogram and that was abnormal so having a coronary catheterisation next, just to confirm

Any advice on catheterization?
I am seeing my neuro on the 16th. I will probably have to change meds, as Tecfidera is not agreeing with me. I am having LOTS of trouble emptying my bladder, as in sitting there for fifteen minutes trying. 😰 I am thinking a catheter may be in my future. Anyone out there experienced this? How bad is
