Heart and SLE

I recently having heart issues, shortness of breath, liver issues and so many other little symptoms. Having heart catheterization next week. Diagnosed with SLE, my brother recently passed from multiple pulmanory infarctions. Anyone here know exactly what lupus does to heart? Wondering if mine is heart disease heritary or stems from lupus

Hi, I am so sorry to hear about your brother. I have heart involvement which is electrical, causing arrhythmia. But there can be inflammation of muscle or valve problems. I also have developed a murmur. This causes me chest pain when laying down and shortness of breath. All the best next week.

Thank you, I am having a angioplasty soon very scared. At least one stint also was mentioned in report I have deformity in valve. I also have heart murmur since birth, I also have had issues with liver enzymes and kidney infections. I have SLE but also get skin rashes sensitivity to sunlight. Very strange also anyone Rh- does this effect lupus
