Hello everyone it's Fancy1959 trying to keep you updated on the series of health issues that I've been facing since early summer. I'm really not trying to ignore everyone it's simply that I'm dealing with so much on my own at this moment that I have to put my own house in order before I can get out amongst the public again. I really thought that I was conquering everything but the last 8 to 10 days have been very rough again. Enough to push me back on my heels and make me shake my head. So you know what's up here's what's been going on. Since we spoke I've been to three doctors appointments which as you know normally takes and blows the entire day once you drive and wait and talk in the drive home and get your prescription.
I went to an orthopedic surgeon appointment I had to check my knee that I injured back about 8 to 10 weeks ago and I had them x-ray my right shoulder since it has bothered me for over 2 years. The knee still has a ways to go and he wasn't very happy that I had extreme tenderness in a couple of areas but he still thinks I might not need surgery there. So that was news I could live with . The shoulder was a different matter . I has fallen so often and I'm right handed so I always catch myself with my right hand. I knew my shoulder was shredded due to the the Dozen or more falls I have taken. Well unfortunately I was correct and I shoulder is shredded literally. It is in such bad shape that there is no rotor cup left and my tendons are bowling in weird ways in my shoulder has bone on bone in several areas. They found an old x-ray two years ago and my shoulder had disintegrated immensely in the last 2 years. Unfortunately for me the only option I have left is to have a reverse shoulder replacement done on my shoulder joint. Not going to be fun and there's lots of room for problems to arise. So really bad news.
Then I go back to my urologist that I love and he tells me I've got my third UTI in about 4 months and he's talking I might have to self catheterize myself. To that I say no no no! I am not ready for that yet. Yuck!
Last but not least yesterday I took a bad fall. Luckily I just jarred the heck out of myself but I landed flat on my face except my head didn't hit. Everything else took a Major Impact. To say the least the past eight or nine days have had more health concerns than I care to say but on the bright side next week I hope to start Ocrevus if my UTI doesn't derail the infusion. And if it does I hope to get it rescheduled quickly, hopefully by the end of the month or the beginning of October. I am extremely excited to see if it makes a difference in my spasticity and with my balance like it has done to others that I have kept up with with when they started the new therapy. Once I start the Ocrevus I will keep a log and keep closely in touch with the chat room to let you know what is going on with the new therapy on me day to day.
So I say grab the bar in front of you, tuck your feet under the seat in front of you and hold on to your hat because I can just feel this rollercoaster ride bottoming out and starting the upswing any day now. Keep up and hopefully I'll meet you at the top of the hill. Keep sending prayers my way that I make the top of the hill and I will send prayers to all in the chat room who need them to climb their own mountains and conquer their own monsters that this disease sends our way. Remember together we are stronger!

Fancy1959 I'm so sorry to hear about the really tough time you've been having! I hope you start Ocrevus real soon and see a lot of improvement quickly. I had shoulder surgery last September. It is a bear to recover from. Lots of physical therapy. I'm praying for you!
Hi Fancy1959, I am sorry reading your informations about your present moment. I hope tou have good guidance from your Doctors and also from Nurses and other maybe Functional Medicine. Nothing can be heal or completely stabilized only with our standard Traditional Medicine. It's my only advice. I would be in very bad shape without my Eastern approaching together with very important Traditional Western Medicine. Give some nutrition to your body to recovery, it is the only way besides the good Medicine.
Fancy1959. So sorry for your bad news. These orthos can do some pretty amazing things these days. If only our bodies could heal as fast as they used to. But we will all grab hold of that bar and ride with you all the way. We are praying for you dear friend. Good luck and God bless.
Fancy1959 thank you for posting. I just Thought I had problems!! Won't even go into them after reading your post. Dr T still refusing to order the JC test, even though pharmacy has contacted him and neurologist Botox dr said she was contacting him. I think it must be a clash of wills. But, like the song says we continue to climb every mountain and ford every stream, and keep living one day at a time, with the strength of our Redeemer. Call if you need us.
Fancy1959 I'm so sorry you are going through this. It is hard enough to deal with 1 issue at a time, let alone multiple things. Sending you prayers. It is a blessing you didn't hurt your head when you fell, hope you can slow down and avoid falling.

Fancy1959 Thanks for checking in, I'm so very sorry that it wasn't good news and that you are now facing surgery. I hope that your UTI clears up and you can start the new meds you have been waiting for.
Are you okay from your fall today? I know you have to be hurting after that.
In the "Old" days we would say "you had an E ticket ride". (Disneyland).
Concerning the bladder infection be proactive. Could you be re-infecting yourself? I wouldn't be for a cath either but what I've learned is, if you have any leakage at all within three hours you have the perfect growing medium in any kind of bladder protection or underwear.
As to the neurologist, get a different one . That's terrible.
