Purchase Drugs from Abroad.
I was diagnosed with HepC in May last year, and was told to wait until the new oral drugs were available (Sofosbuvir & Velpatisvir a 12 week regimen in tablet form) rather than the old interferon. I was promised the new drugs in March of this year and now I am told it is going to be later in the year

Long term effects
Hello everyone and Happy New Year. So I saw my Heam today and blood levels are still ok, however he mentioned about me being too young to be on Hydroxycarbamide, however the Interferon puts me in hospital and although I have approval for the Rux we need to hold off until I have my liver transplant..

This treatment is knocking the stuffing out of me. Depending say I'm fit for work!!
Hi I'm 14 weeks through my interferon and ribavarin treatment and have 10 weeks left. I was signed off due to my symptoms with a view to having it and getting clear and going back to work. I was signed off by a decision maker after some confusion with what had been written in the original ATos report

Platelets creeping back up - ET CALR+ve
After a year of Pegasys and steadily reducing platelets my last 3 counts have started to creep up again to 320, 380 and now just over 390. Still in normal range but I suspect I'll be back over 400 by the end of the year. Not too concerned as I guess the answer will be to increase the frequency of injections

Anyone had a shingles vaccination?
It was suggested by several friends who suffer from occasional attacks that I should avail myself of the free shingles vaccinations currently being given by the nurse at my GP's rooms. Because it is a live vaccine I wasn't sure about having it. I have ET, jak2 neg, and am on interferon alpha injections

Skin Treatments for Cancer Patients
As the body’s first line protection against sunlight, chemicals, and contagious germs, the skin is one of the parts of the body most generally affected by cancer treatments. The good news is that skin reactions are normally short-term and treatments are available to help dealing and fighting against

'Watch and wait'
Hi all I was diagnosed with PV, Jak2+ in 2014. Since then I've just been on aspirin and venesections when needed. Other than that, I'm checked every three months by the haematologist. So, it's basically a policy of 'watch and wait'. Just recently I've been reading a few articles from doctors advising

M.A.S. Multiple Autoimmune Syndrome
Diagnosed with MS in 2000, I injected betaseron then rebif then finally avonex for 9 years. My body began rejecting the interferons, injection sites were even leaking. I had no place left to poke. I then opted to stop treatment and go as healthy natural as I could. I found Charlotte's Web CBD oil

FIRST LINE PV SURVEY
We want to hear patients’ views on a new study for patients with polycythaemia vera (PV). Researchers in the UK have teamed up with those in France to design a study for patients with PV who need a drug to lower their blood count. We propose to test Ruxolitinib (a JAK inhibitor approved in MF and patients
