After a year of Pegasys and steadily reducing platelets my last 3 counts have started to creep up again to 320, 380 and now just over 390. Still in normal range but I suspect I'll be back over 400 by the end of the year. Not too concerned as I guess the answer will be to increase the frequency of injections from every 4 weeks to every 3 but it's a bit disappointing as my consultant had suggested we might extend to 6 weeks if my counts had stayed stable. Anyone else had experience of Pegasys or regular interferon becoming less effective over time..?

Hi Andy.. hope everything is fine with you.. Just stay positive, it may not go up to 400. Still within normal range, not to worry..
Hi Andy, sorry I can't answer your question in relation to the pegasys/interferon. It is probably just like you say that it will be just a matter of titrating the dose. I think that's the way it seems to be with the treatment of these MPNs.
Anyway, it's nice to hear from you again. You were one of the first to welcome me to the forum.
Good Luck
