It’s a long process
I woke up two days later in
intensive
care
and being told I am a very lucky man as I had a LUCAS machine to help keep my chest compressions going and also I had down time of 70 mins. Yes you read that right! My parents were told to expect the worse.

How did humans get to the top of the pile?
Thank you everyone who commented on my post around why people chose a low-carb high fat diet, and did they do so after a high-carb low-fat diet. Personally I could debate on just that thread for the next 10 years, and perhaps I will! However it occurs to me a hypothesis following on from that question

18F-DCFPyL PSMA PET/CT Scan Result
The result (other than typical) from the 18F-DCFPyL PET/CT Scan on 12-21-2018 at NIH found: Abdomen/Pelvis: Focal uptake in a right internal iliac lymph node consistent with PSMA overexpression. Right bladder diverticulum also noted. Next Steps: Biopsy of the node will be sampled in the next week or

So here's how my AVR is going (so far)
But it all comes down to
intensive
care
bed availability. Take calls from various relatives. Wi fi here is good, so check on the collapsing government (which you can see from the window here). Sent down to shave. Full chest. Arms below elbow, inside leg. So now smooth as a baby's bottom.

A bit nervous about angiogram
The
intensive
care
people had written me off - relatives gathered etc but to everyone's amazement I pulled through and I've been feeling pretty well in recent months.

What to do next after RP and RT?
“Is there a proven benefit to continuing ADT if you have high risk PCa even if your PSA is undetectable after RP and RT?” I was diagnosed in November 2017 at age 68 after my PSA was found to be 45.5. Biopsy found Gleason 4+5=9, later confirmed by prostate pathology. Bone scan negative. CT scan showed

Mid point in 3 prong treatment
AS for 7 yrs. Change in situation in August: 3+4, PSA 22, non palpable DRE; localized. Two uros, 2 radiation oncologists, and internist all recommended treatment. Each, of course, recommended his area of expertise. Uro=surgery. Radiation = radiation. Shocking! LOL ADT (Firmagon and then Lupron;

Sudden Cardiac Arrest
He’s been in
intensive
care
in a medically induced coma since then. The medical staff have attempted to reduce the drug (anaesthetic I believe) which is keeping him in a deep coma, a couple of times. However, almost as soon as they do this he begins to have seizures.

New here
Hi there. I'm new to the group. I've recently been diagnosed with heart failure and LVSD. Spent two weeks in the hospital getting things controlled and have been out for two weeks. I'm not feeling too badly right now. In many ways better than I have in quite some time - breathing is good. Right now

PSMA Scan at NIH Day 1 of 2
I was fortunate enough to get into the Clinical Trial for the F18 DCFPyL PSMA Pet Scan at NIH. I have had no prior ADT or Chemo ever and my PSA was 0.7 which met the qualification for the trial. (RP in 2011, IMRT in 2015, BCR 02/2018). Today was day 1 of 2 with the actual PSMA Pet Scan tomorrow. This

PSA Velocity
PSA velocity - I'm post SRT along with IMRT ( 40 hits ) Started Lupron on 5/2/17 was on it for about 1 yr - the last injection was 2/2018 All along that time my PSA was Nidar Just had a PSA test on 12/17/2018 - and it was .19 So that could mean a 14 basis point increase if Nadir is .05 or less. In term

Question - residual PSA after treatment
Hello - new to the site. Had RP, then salvage RT with 1 yr of ADT ( Lupron ) fall 2017 - IMRT at SMK. For the entire yr, PSA was non-detectable... 12/17/18 PSA is .19 ---- I'm freaking out - but I do a lot of that, just in my DNA. I could never understand why any residual PSA was looked at as the most
