Role of Probiotics for managing diabetes
A new research reveals that probiotics can help in increasing insulin sensitivity. When we eat junk food the amount of good gut bacteria lessens which is one of the reasons of type 2 diabetes. So when we eat natural foods like curds, yogurt, kefir, etc. or even if we take probiotics supplements it actually

Can PCOS affect type 1 diabetes?
Hi, I'm new to this, but was just reading in the comments that many with this condition get tested for
insulin
resistance
etc. I've never been offered this and was wondering if PCOS could affect my glucose control as I'm type 1?

BP & Diabetes are buddies
Hi folks, I was diagnosed with diabetes 1n 1994. But I had 3 paralytic strokes with coma & double vision twice. 1993, 2002 & 2013. I'm on insulin. Blood Pressure & diabetes are close buddies. They are killer diseases. I have a BP and a diabetes measuring kit (Accu check active). I use them regularly.

Trying to get diagnosed
My Endo told me she didn't think I had any type of
insulin
resistance
but I do experience weird sugar lows if I don't eat, sometimes to a point where I feel like fainting.

Benefits and Cautions of a Ketogenic Diet (LC/HF) info for anyone curious...
The study showed the low carbohydrate diet produced the best effects overall but also raised cortisol levels, which can lead to
insulin
resistance
etc. However ketogenic diets have also been shown to reverse symptoms of metabolic syndrome – so this is an area that would warrant further research.

Early Wake Up: DEXCOM (Temprano despiértese: DEXCOM)
Okay, I know this is a little later than normal, but it's better late than never, right? ¿Bien, sé que esto es un poco más tarde que normal, pero es mejor tarde que nunca, verdad? I had changed the sensors on Monday this week and the old sensor did work. There weren't any reasons to call DEXCOM, so

Itching, shingles and feeling poorly after transplant
Hi Wonder if anyone can help. My husband had a transplant end Nov 2017 and has returned to work on a phased return. Although his mood has improved and he is less angry and cross he is not feeling too good. He was in agony and we went to our GP who sent him straight to A & E and they diagnosed shingles

What now?
Should I be asking for an
insulin
resistance
test? Or referral to gynaecology? Will they even be able to help? I’m losing the will to fight it, it’s been 15 years of telling docs there’s something wrong- I finally get a diagnosis and get told off you go, get on with it :(

Deficiency in coenzyme Q10, can increase Diabetic Risk.
When the researchers replenished CoQ,
insulin
resistance
or pre-diabetes was reversed. "Replenishing CoQ could prove an invaluable preventive measure for
insulin

- or pre-diabetes-linked diseases such as type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancers and dementia," he said.
