My first time posting in this group. My Endo suspected I had Pcos a year ago, a year down the line I am still feeling rubbish, bad heavy periods, bloating like I am pregnant, frequent headaches, and what appears or be sugar lows yet my sugar/glucose readings all come back within the ranges - I self test with my kit the hospital gave me. My Endo told me she didn't think I had any type of insulin resistance but I do experience weird sugar lows if I don't eat, sometimes to a point where I feel like fainting. Also my female hormones seem completely out of whack, I have all of the above most of the time and a lot of weight around my middle area I can't shift. I am gluten free and trying to be dairy free, as I also have Hashimotos &a Hypothyroid.
Is it worth me pursuing Pcos as a cause? I am still having periods though they can be slightly irregular but I do get them. Any advice? 😩

It isn't uncommon to have both conditions, I find it strange that your endo didn't diagnose you with pcos as it is their area too. Where you diagnosed with endometriosis too ?
I would stick to a low GI diet and cut out all white carbs, also eat little and often. I am not insulin resistant but I had issues if I didn't eat properly but I think that is the same with most people that it can make you light headed. There is so much hidden sugar in our diets too so you could be eating high sugar without even realising it! I dont eat any white carbs now, minimal fruit too and I never get light headed any more.
I think she just got side tracked as I had a lot of stuff going on with my meds and trying to get T3 at the same time.
Do you think it's worth me asking to be tested? What tests do I need, I can do the bloods private as I don't think they will test me for them. I will have to write a letter as not due to see Endo till May now but it could explain a lot of my current symptoms. Did you experience bad hormones fluctuating too? It feels like mine are all over the place and don't feel they are right
bloods can be a bit hit and miss sometimes but GP can do it all and arrange for a scan (cysts are only a symptom and not the cause so can come and go). I would say your endo suggested it could be pcos so you want it investigated further.
