Falling asleep after eating
I know that post prandial sleepiness affects diabetics (ex partner was diabetic) and I know there’s a connection between low thyroid/cortisol and
insulin
resistance
, and am now concerned that I also fall asleep after my main meal. It’s not drowsiness, I just can’t keep my eyes open.

It affects some ESRD patients and is quite prevalent in type 2 patients who inject with insulin - caused by the needle going in. Thats me. I wish I had never seen that post because it has scared

Carvedilol and low blood sugars
Have any type 1 diabetics who take carvedilol found their blood sugars drop in that beta blocker. I have switched from bisoprolol to carvedilol and my blood sugars have really dropped. I have just adjusted my insulin accordingly but I wondered if it is a side effect of that medication.

Having a bit of a trying time.
Hello - the last few days have been not so good - no energy or motivation and this morning I had my breakfast and felt so sick afterwards I had to go back to bed. It has been slowly going downhill for a few days now.My biggest worry is that this all points to kidney function and the dialysis question

How to Increase BDNF
Get plenty of sleep[22] Obesity,
insulin
resistance
, and type 2 diabetes are all associated with lower BDNF levels[23][24]. If you’re dealing with these issues, your very first step should be to cut out crap foods.

Urgent advice needed on labs - very very high FT3, I'm freaking out.
Hello, Below are the results of my labs I had done this Friday. I have been taking T3 only for a year. I kept increasing the dose because I don't have any symptoms of hyperthyroid or too much T3. My pulse is around 60, blood pressure is very low, BBT around 36, and that is only recently since I had

Allergies, Sensors Oh My!
Well, I've had a few days recently dealing with allergies due to the weather and season changes. When this happens, my numbers start going like an interesting roller coaster ride. Sometimes, it also makes my family think I have a cold, when I don't feel sick/have cold symptoms. Today, I still have

The Role Of Bile Acids In Prostate Cancer
Bile acids (BAs) belong to cholesterol-derived sterols. Due to the side chain carboxyl group and hydroxylation of their steroid ring they are more polar than cholesterol. They have an amphipatic character for which they are known as natural detergents. Majority of cholesterol is excreted by bile acids

Inhibition of Stearoyl-CoA Desaturase by Sterculic Oil Reduces Proliferation and Induces Apoptosis in Prostate Cancer Cells
Prostate cancer (PCa) is a common type of cancer affecting male population. PCa treatments have side effects and are temporarily effective, so new therapeutic options are being investigated.
