pure emphysema and inhalers
I get very sob and my nails often get a blue tinge when I exert myself I have stopped using
inhalers
as they do not deem to help in any way and tend to cause more mucus production, and give me more problems than benefits. am I unwise to refuse medication?

Fostair 200
Does anyone else use Fostair 200 and suffered these side effects - skin atrophy and continuous chest infections? If they have, did they get this inhaler changed to a nonsteroidal inhaler? If this happened which treatment was it changed to. I have COPD and asthma.

How many inhalers?
Another question from me...It's been suggested to me that I could add a Flixotide 250 to my medications, which is currently Symbicort 200 (MART but I still use a lot of Salamol during flare-ups) and Montelukast. To me, this seems weird (and would that be a High Steroid Dose?) so I'm wondering if anyone

Post Covid Queries!
I tested positive for Covid 2 weeks ago… it’s caused an asthma flare but luckily I got prescribed steroids for a week which, along with my Fostair and Ventolin
inhalers
, kept things stable enough for me to stay home.

Breathing problems
My husband has blue and pink
inhalers
and is constantly over using them so struggle constantly to get prescription for him. I initially thought it was because he was forgetting he had taken it so using it too much. But now I am thinking, is his breathing deteriarating. He has ARBD and ARLD.

Good morning I only seem to post with questions. But you wonderful lot are so knowledgeable and this is still so new to me. ❤️ My son has aortic root dilation & HCM. Yesterday GP confirmed he has mild asthma. Prescribed inhaler 4x a day. So we were waiting for this so my son's cardiologist could

Lungwort Complex
Does anyone here have experience of taking Lungwort Complex? I started taking it three weeks ago as i felt i had nothing to lose after months of being so unwell. I have literally gone from barely being able to get from room to room because of severe breathlessness, and friends and family thinking

Lung symptoms vs eye and nose symptoms
To those who are on "systemic" drugs for allergic asthma, what do you notice in terms of control of your lung symptoms vs control of allergic symptoms in the eyes and the nose? Do the systemic drugs resolve the lungs, nose, and eye symptoms altogether, or do the drugs only work for some, but not for

Is my spacer working?
I have been using a vu plus spacer with my
inhalers
and previously it always made that honking noise when I inhaled too hard. However, yesterday it stopped doing that.

salted OJ and assisting lung function
if anyone here is taking their cough medicine,
inhalers
, plenty of fluids and still struggling a very good hack is salted OJ quite regularly - adds a decent amount of potassium that is not typically added via supplements. Boy, as soon as you have a glass you can notice an immediate help.

Newly diagnosed GPA without renal involvement. Sorry it’s long.
In March I went to a new rheumatologist at a world famous teaching hospital. He is co-director of the vasculitis program and quite expert. It took persistence to get an appointment. My previous rheumatologist diagnosed me with Polymyalgia Rheumatica in 2016. She ordered an ANCA blood test in 2017 because

Trial of Montelukast
I am currently on Fostair inhaler for adult asthma that has laid dormant for years since childhood. I have suffering terribly for a long time with constant phlegm , having to clear my throat, coughing and affecting my sleep in as much as choking. It’s embarrassing at work and also home life. Thought

Maybe a sheep dip or biohazard fumigation chambers would do the trick 😂
Heart seems to be behaving today,
inhalers
for asthma have made throat & mouth so sore despite drinking to rinse away so laying off those while on antibiotics - maybe I just need to be put through a sheep dip to cure all ailments or put me in one of those zip up biohazard fumigators 😂 Hope you’re all

Trimbow 87/5/9
Hi, I was recently prescribed the trimbow 87/5/9 inhaler and I have to take two puffs of the trimbow inhaler twice daily but when I was prescribed the trimbow, my gp pharmacist didn't tell me wether I had to stop my spiriva respimat inhaler or wether I had to carry on taking it along with the trimbow

Bronchiectasis diagnosis.....really struggling :(
I do have 2
inhalers
which give some relief but how does anyone lead anything like a normal life with these conditions. I dread going out and sometimes have to go back to my car to "cough it up" when out shopping. I feel so low and this week is the first week I have cried most days. Is this it ?

Fostair inhaler
Had my asthma review at my GP surgery today and apparently my asthma is poorly controlled which I knew anyway so she wants to consider changing my steroid inhaler to Fostair. I'm already on Flutiform 250/10 as well as Spiriva which I know isn't a steroid. What's the difference between the two and is
