Emphysema

Hi in February I was diagnosed with severe emphysema, I have had a lung test with the nurse at GP's practice & seen my GP regarding a chest infection I had in March, they changed my asthma inhaler to help me breath better, at what stage do I ask to see a consultant, as would like to know how bad it actually is, also cut down from 30 to 8 a day on my cigarettes, I tried ringing the NHS give up smoking help line here in Oldham & left 5 messages with the answer phone message & they never got back to me, so having to do it by my self which is hard.

I am 56, with over 20 conditions using an electric wheelchair needing 3.5 hours care a day.
