Dietary analysis app you might like....and how much methionine is too much?
I've turned into a bit of a food geek and I've just discovered an app which analyses my food diary and shows, amongst many other things, methionine, calcium and sodium intake. If anyone is interested, it's called Cronometer. I'm trying (like many of us) to reduce my methionine by reducing my animal protein

Has anyone had an iron infusion/injection and did you feel the benefits from this straight away
Well after seeing the Nephrologist yesterday they have said that I am anaemic and have to have iron infusion/injection not sure which now. I asked if it was related to my sore tongue (diagnosed as Geographic Tongue 6 months ago) and she said it was. Hopefully this will go away when I have had the iron

dystonia after requip
My husband developed dystonia approximately 10 years ago. We figured out that he developed it after taking Requip. His provider was clueless that the Requip could have caused the dystonia. I am a retired nurse and figured it out about a year after he developed the dystonia. No one believed me when

Focused Ultrasound in Switzerland
I have decided to see if I can have focused ultrasound at Sonimodul clinic in Switzerland. The neurologist there has the most experienced and 2 friends have had excellent results. I’ve collated lots of information for anyone who’s interested. https://sonimodul.ch https://www.frontiersin.org/articles

Co2 levels
Nephrologist visit this week and CO2 low. He added sodium bicarbonate. Can anyone explain more about this? Can it be diet related and how do I help it with what I eat?

Ascites or belly fat?
Is there a way to tell a difference in the two besides weighing yourself? My fiancé looks like he has put a bit of weight on in his belly and his face. His face was looking gaunt so I’m thankful for the weight but I’m worried it’s ascites coming back as he has stopped his diuretics a couple of weeks

B12 level is 795
I am 57 year old male. I am recently having pain near the lateral side of left triceps and 2 kgs of weight loss in last 2 months. The triceps pain started earlier but it worsened in the last 2 months. Doctor gave B complex twice daily and prescribed several tests. Cardiac tests (echo and EKG) are normal

Another Question about DBS
I’ve been following the latest discussions about DBS. It makes me feel hopeful. However, I have a pacemaker already and am wondering if that would disqualify me as a candidate. Has anyone ever heard anything about this? I plan to ask my MDS, but I don’t see him again until next January.

What happens next?
A bit of history first... my mum has always had repeated chest infections and as long as I can remember she’s always choked on her food. About 3 years ago, she finally had scans done and they discovered a shadow on her right lung. They gave different antibiotics to try and clear up the infection she

DBS
Anyone that has had DBS, would you please share your experience? I’m highly considering starting the approval process. I’m 45, dx in 2008, and have exhausted medication options. I’ve tried diet, exercise, HDT.
