Tuberculosis stigma
Active infection occurs more often in people with
immunodeficiency
and in those who smoke. Stigma may be due to the fear of transmission from affected individuals. This stigma may additionally arise due to links between TB and poverty, and in Africa, AIDS.

Could it have been FM all along?
From what I've seen it's not easy to diagnose and I'm worried I'll be laughed at, but had loads of blood tests over the years, tested for coeliac,
immunodeficiency
test etc etc and other than the MRI's on my back and neck, nothing concrete has ever come back.

Spontaneous remission of stage 3 Burkitt's recurrence with very minimal treatment
At the end of his regimen he was also dx'd with spinal stenosis and common variable
immunodeficiency
(CVID) which means he has no immune system and needs 10-12hr immunoglobulin infusions (IVIG) every 28 days. But he survived it all.

HELPFUL info summing up the case re lupus patients & flu/pneumonia vaccination
now that my medics understand that I have simultaneous early onset
immunodeficiency
as well as autoimmune conditions (typically, at 62, my lupus runs alongside sjogrens + raynauds + erythromelalgia + lichen Sclerosus etc etc) I feel more confident that I'm more likely to get the individualised treatment
