I take 3000 a day and I weigh 135 lbs. My regime is 7 days on and 7 days off. However I started with 3500 and that really affected my hands and they lowered my dosage. I am still having challenges with my hands but it’s not bad. They get extremely dry and crack, so I try to keep them moisturized

Temporary stoppage of Ibrutinib
I need to stop IB one week pre/post surgery. Today is day 3. Has anyone started feeling reversal symptoms? I’m feeling more fatigued. Hoping my lymph nodes issues don’t return. Just curious.

Advice? Anyone taking Herceptin Perjeta and Faslodex? And bye Ibrance
Hi everyone. My onc switched me off ibrance and Exemastane bc initial breast tumor is growing and has become resistant to these meds. I knew like all of us here that first line of treatment would end sometime (almost 4 years) but I’m really nervous about this new normal I’m entering into with 3 week

Scared of the Future.....
My husband (42M) has been having the feeling of needing to use the bathroom 7-10 times a day, and it always comes out as gas or diarrhea, loose watery stools. I had him to our primary doctor and get some tests run. All of his bloodwork has come back ok, his platelets are a little high, but his iFOBT

Princess of Wales
Many of you will have seen the Princess of Wales is having preventative chemotherapy for cancer. It must have been very difficult for her to speak about when still trying to digest the information herself. I rarely tell anyone I am suffering from a cancer, I usually say I have a bone marrow disease.

I am the delivery man these days! Optimizing existing therapies!
The study explores a new method for cancer treatment combining light-activated therapy with a special drug that targets low-oxygen areas in tumors. This approach uses tiny tiny tiny capsules to deliver both the light-sensitive agent and the drug directly to the tumor, enhancing the treatment's effectiveness

Decipher Results
I now know I’m in the 10% worst category for genomic results. 20% chance of Mets in 10 years 25% chance of death in 15. Not happy. It’s out of my hands. They will ADT me then prostate bed and lymph node radiation. I guess I kinda always knew. I’m assuming someone has determined these steps are required

a new way to deliver platinum chemo works greatly in vivo

I have metastatic breast cancer. I am taking Ibrance and fulvestrant. After a gastroscopy, I was diagnosed with an esophageal ulcer. The gastroenterologist prescribed me pantaprozole. After many studies and a call to Fizer, I discovered that Ibrance does not work fully with ppi. I do not know how to

Best Salvage Brachytherapy and SBRT locations
I'm trying to find top hospitals that have an experienced RO in salvage treatments for radio-recurrent PCa. I'm close to Duke Cancer Center and they have a RO there who does salvage Brachytherapy but he's only been practicing for 5 years so I doubt he has as much experience as I'd like. I think my

Jaw necrosis. Check up. Better safe than sorry. Thought I would get away with dying from my PC before I would need to be at a dentist lol.
4 plus years on Zometa so getting a check up for necrosis to be on the safe side. One of the members of my oncology team who I see about every other appointment finally for about the 3rd time bringing it up with me I agreed best to get a dental check for any signs of jaw necrosis. So delayed my Zometa

My treatment now seems to be - Flexy Cystoscopy first - If anything is found then booked for admission to have tumour(s) removed. This is done with a procedure called TURBT and rigid cystoscopy. As a BTY - I am unsure if my BCG treatment has ended, or have I one more go. I am not allowed "general

Lung Biopsy - Lucky?
During my 1st PEt scan for PC a shadow was revealed on my lung. Subsequent to my PC treatment I did a CT scan of the area and am undergoing a biopsy of that node in a few days. The pulmonary Dr. had doubts that it was from the PC since it was so far removed from the prostate and my cancer was not advanced
