Worried I wont be taken seriously
I'm sorry this is so long - I'm really struggling with all this. I have always had pain with my periods, I first went to the GP about it when I was 16 - less that a year after they first started, because my mum told me that the amount of pain I was in wasn't normal. I went on the mini-pill for a bit

Natural cycles with endo
Hi everyone, I have been diagnosed with endometriosis for 2 years now and got the mirena coil fitted during my lap. I’m currently thinking about getting my coil removed and either going back on the pill or just having a natural cycle for a few months. I was just wondering if anyone has come of contraception

Experience c. a Copper IUD
I've used a copper IUCD for about three years now, having never used hormonal contraception or implants etc before. I thought it might be useful for others to read my account and compare if they're considering a copper IUD or are concerned their symptoms are abnormal perhaps. For reference, my periods

Retrospective Jealousy OCD PURE O ROCD
I have Retrospective Jealousy OCD. It started around 30 years ago when I met my now wife. I struggled with the thoughts about her past not knowing what was happening and when they first came on the pain was unbearable and I tried to kill myself. I then had years of going to therapists that were useless

Feeling strength to face myself one step at a time
Im just getting rid of my internet again for now. I know it may sound strange but when I have a bad trigger I can escape into obsessive behaviour (in this case youtube) and it takes decisive action to break the flow. Its as though life can feel too scary to live and I feel too uncomfortable with myself

Hating my life!!
My dad knows I have pure OCD and that it’s been years I’m on meds. However, he doesn’t still understand that what he tells me sometimes bothers me. For instance, he keeps telling me about marriage news he heard from neighbors that this lady got married and that lady got married. I told him yes she got

Is it possible that my husband is directing his ocd to me.
My husband has suffered ocd for several years. It all started when I fell pregnant with my daughter. He was extremely over the top about germs, he got medication and improved and the ocd started again when I fell pregnant with my son this time he was paranoid that his car had hit pedestrians and so he

Mirena Coil blood clotting - endo
Hi, I’m 25 and 4 weeks post-op. I had the mirena fitted during the operation and experienced normal spotting for a couple of days. No bleeding for a while but now I’m on my 12th day of bleeding non stop! Started as a period then just spotting but still fresh blood coming out. My biggest concern is that

Colonoscopy with AF and ICD?
But now - I have an
ICD
. Is an EP by protocol required to be present to switch it on and off before and after? If so, that must mess up their schedules badly.

Advice needed please!
Hi guys, I’ve been referred to gynaecology for possible endometriosis, spoke to them yesterday and they think it is that. Not sure how to feel really, they also want to do a cervix check which I’ve never had as only 21, so pretty terrified, they said they want to check nothing sinister is there as they

Gonapeptyl - anxiety and palpitations
I had my first gonapeptyl injection after my lap to remove an endometrioma a week ago. First few days were fine then from nowhere I've started having sudden waves of massive anxiety, like sheer terror and strange palpitations. It does pass eventually but it wakes me in the night, comes over me just

Mini pill & coil thoughts 💭
Good morning! I hope everyone is enjoying a pain free start to their days.. I was diagnosed with endo in 2015 and have had 2 children since. My last baby was born January 2020 and my periods came back in October and so did my pain. I’m on the waiting list for a mirena coil as this was recommended by

Strong heartbeat on left side low down under ribs
I have heart failure, LLBB, and cardiomyopathy for which I have an
ICD
fitted in 2018. It worries me. I have not spoken to my heart nurse or the
ICD
monitoring about this strong pulse but wondered if anyone else had experienced this and what was done.
