misunderstood peri -menopause treatment
I had a very traumatic experience in my peri menopause. Due to heavy bleeding and clotting in my last 2 years of peri menopause I was hospitalized with an anemia. Given tablets to help stem bleeding and they caused jaundice. Was offered hysteroscopy under NHS however not given the option for sedation

disappointed with symptoms still after 2 surgeries :(
I’ve recently had 2 surgeries, one in January where they removed a small amount of endo and then a more complex surgery 4 weeks after with a specialist endo surgeon. I’m now 5 weeks post op and still suffering. I think my period might be due soon but not sure as the surgeries had messed things up a bit

Chronic Illness Guess Who
Long story short, things have taken a drastic turn. I don't know if it's my Endo causing my health spiral, or a combination what pots or what the fuck going on. Even though the PoTs symptoms I've been experiencing have been going on since I was around 13 (i'm 28 now), in November 2023 they took a nosedive

Help with first steps
Hi. Firstly wow, this forum is amazing. After nearly 20 years of pain (am now 49) I have finally had a ‘vague’ diagnosis of deep endo following an MRI. The gynae consultant says that the scan shows adhesions fusing my ovaries and uterus but anything other than that would need further investigation

What Now?
So I had my laparoscopy last May, confirmed endo, coil fitted. Pain returned after a few months. In November I was put on Zoladex injections with Tibilone HRT tablets, this helped the pain a lot and reduced it to a few times within the 3 month period of being on it. Now the last 2 weeks the pain has

Help please
I had endo surgery in 2016 after 10 years of pushing for a diagnosis. I was found to have extensive scaring at the front (across section scar) and endo going into my bowel. I've had urinary symptoms for years, although they've never looked into this. I was told I had DIE.After surgery I fell pregnant

Adenomyosis diagnosis journey
Hi Everyone, This is a long one but I hope it helps someone out there who may be on the same journey! From my first period when I was 11 I had long heavy painful periods, It would wipe me out, I was told that it was normal and that periods were painful and that as a young lady I needed to get on with

Bi Ventricular pacemaker and ICD, please share your experiences
I have been offered a bi ventricular pacemaker and
ICD
as a result of my history of ischemic heart disease, various conduction issues, 30% ejection fraction, slow pulse rate. It is hoped getting both ventricles to beat together will improve pumping function and my general wellbeing.

Advice request - going in circles with doctors
Hi all, I've been suffering with endometriosis for years but I'm really struggling to get proper help with it, and the doctors seem to be thinking now it might be something else. How to go through airport security with a pacemaker/ICD?
Hello dear afib forum friends! I am about to fly to Brazil in a few days and I never know the best way to go through security with a pacemaker.Last summer, in Toronto I was scolded for walking through the metal detector. They don't like it because it sets off metal detector alarms. They prefer you

Adeno diagnosis...I think? Should I still have a lap???
Hi! If anyone has any experience of this or advice I'm all ears.....Following ultrasounds for pelvic pain that showed i had a bulky womb, small fibroids, plus a polyp at the top of my cervix, I had an MRI done. Just spoke to my gp who said MRI noted 'thickening of the junctional zone up to 11mm, with

Advice on egg freezing and hysterectomy for severely heavy bleeding
Hi everyone, I'm doing a little bit of research so I can take a huge stack of notes to my next gynaecology appointment, and wondered if anyone was able to share their experiences. I'm looking at potentially freezing some of my eggs, as I have endometriomas. I'm still undecided as to whether I want children
