Hormone therapy for Endometriosis
Hello, I hope you're all doing ok. I was wondering if anyone has any advice, tips or experience in hormone therapy for endometriosis. Long story short I was diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis 5 years ago, I had a lap in Dec 2018 to remove endometrioma and check my tubes. In Nov 2019 I had a bowel

Doctor won't test for Endometriosis
I'm in my early 30's and started getting painful periods when I was 17. Pain in my stomach, back, down my legs and generally feeling sick. It was quite severe, to the point where I would throw up so I went to the Doctor at age 17 and was told I would grow out of it. Now in my 30's I've gone back to the

Hello there I truly feel your pain. After I gave birth to my daughter in 2008 I started to have alot of new pain and bleeding. Was diagnosed with endometriosis. The bleeding was severe and drained me of energy. I was put on numerous contraceptive pills, implant, coil nothing seemed to work. 8 years later

Hi everyone. I'm new here but wondered whether anyone has had a similar experience to me. A few years ago I was on the contraceptive pill, when I noticed that my periods were getting later and later. I used to get the normal bleed during the seven day break of not taking the pill, but then I started

PCOS vs Hashimostos
Hi. I've just had the results from my Medichecks "Ultimate Performance" test and I am really very concerned. I took the blood test first thing in the morning after fasting and avoided levothyroxine for 24hrs. The excellent accompanying letter (from a female GP) strongly indicates PCOS which seems

weight loss after coil
hi all, I am having my coil removed this week. Since having it I’ve gained around 7lbs that will not shift, even though I exercise a lot and eat very well. Could this be hormone induced? Do you think it’ll go when the coil is removed?

Type 1 Brugada Diagnosis
I was admitted to CCU and since had 24/7 monitoring awaiting for a
ICD
to be fitted. I want to make as many people aware of this condition and how important it is to get symtoms checked out, my 3 young children have to be tested now as there is a high chance of it being inherited.

endometrioma
Hi all, I have recently been diagnosed with an Endometrioma in my left ovary & endometriosis. This has been a hard diagnosis to hear, given the side effects. I am 25 years old, without children, but I plan to have them with my partner in about 5 years. I am in severe pain during my period & often

Mirena, cramps and spotting
Hi, I am 10 weeks post excision by lap and Mirena insertion. I have only had 2 weeks not bleeding in the 10 weeks and have daily cramping which radiates down my legs. The pain isn't constant, it comes and goes during the day. Could this still be the coil settling? Not sure how long I can take the daily

ET and periods/menstruation
Hi - this is a question for those of you who have monthly periods, (or were still menstruating when you were diagnosed). I was diagnosed several months after going to see a doctor about spotting/dark clots up to a week before my regular period (in my late 30s)- I asked to be screened for cancer and

why isn’t testing for all STD’s important before IUD insertion
I got the IUD insertion back in December 2021 I remember being tested for chlamydia etc etc. but I don’t recall them testing for all stds, why is it that it’s not important to test for all stds before insertion so you can be aware of possible issues ? My friend recently tested positive for herpes 1 and

Feeling fed up
I suffer with idiopathic VF and have a S
icd
in place. This has saved my life so many times but this last year my defib has had to shock me about 9 times all correctly. My constant and specialist are at a loss the medication I’m on should be stopping the extra heart beats but aren’t.

Pain return and spotting
Hi I was first diagnosed with endometriosis 9 years ago to which I had laparoscopy and then the Mirena fitted. I seem to have been able to manage my symptoms over the last 9 years between being pregnant and the coil. I have had my most recent coil in 2.5 years and now I seem to all of a sudden be getting
