I am a 29 year old female and i have been diagnosed with Brugada Syndrome and i am not on my 12th day in hospital. I started with dizziness and chest pain and finally came to hospital when i nearly fainted. The Brugada patter appeared straight away on my ECG without any 'provocation test' this was the first time i had heard of this condition. I was admitted to CCU and since had 24/7 monitoring awaiting for a ICD to be fitted. I want to make as many people aware of this condition and how important it is to get symtoms checked out, my 3 young children have to be tested now as there is a high chance of it being inherited.

Type 1 Brugada Diagnosis
Good Morning sup3rmum, I hope you are feeling well today and they are looking after you in the hospital.
If you are feeling up to some reading we have a patient information sheet on Brugada here: heartrhythmalliance.org/aa/... as well as patient stories here: heartrhythmalliance.org/aa/... which I hope you may find helpful.
If you would like to share your story with us, with your consent, we could add it to our website and maybe our patient e-newsletter. It is up to you, and only if and when you feel the time is right, we would ensure your anonymity is protected. In our experience, shared patient stories have offered, comfort, hope and support to others who may be finding themselves or a family member in a similar situation.
Please feel free to contact our Patient Services Team on 01789 867501 or email info@heartrhythmalliance.org if you would like any advice, information or support with your new diagnosis.
