Failed Endometrial Ablation: Prostap
I’m very high risk for
hysterectomy
surgery, so I’ve agreed to try this first but I’m not prepared physically or mentally for artificial menopause because I’m not symptomatic of perimenopause. Are there any dos or don’ts I can do to minimise chances of side effects?

I've been prescribed Amitriptyline for pelvic pain. Has anyone had success with this medication?
He is referring me for an urgent mri to confirm it's Adenomyosis and listed for a
hysterectomy
, including my ovaries. It's an 18 month wait. So, I've been prescribed Amitriptyline and he wants me to trial Prostsap again.

Consultant decided to withhold information from laparoscopy :(
My new consultant has fast tracked a
hysterectomy
next week. The thing I am upset about is the old consultant has now admitted in a letter they did see the fibroids on laparoscopy but didn't report on them, as they don't believe it is the cause of my pain.

I had cancer and a total
hysterectomy
so I’m experiencing the menopause and PCOS stage. I’ve managed to maintain my weight through constant careful eating but any gains go nowhere.

So down today 🥺 Why does everything take so long and nothing helps
I can't tolerate stronger pain relief, as it causes constipation, which I already have and it makes the pain worse.I've got 18 months to wait for the
hysterectomy
and it seems like a life time away. I just feel so trapped by it all and can't see a way out of this awful situation. Nothing helps.

7 days post and home.
I don't remember it being as painful as this when I got my transplant but they said abdominal surgery is worse and I have already had a
hysterectomy
so lots of scarring. I hope you are all well char x

Borderline Ovarian Tumour and Endo diagnosis.
Hi all, I’ve recently had some news that I will need to have a full
hysterectomy
due to a biopsy result from an ovarian cyst I had removed 6 weeks ago. There is the option to keep one ovary for now.

post menopausal health problems - pain in pelvic area after total hysterectomy
Hi Since being properly post menopausal and having a total
hysterectomy
for early stage cancer which was cured by surgery, I have developed several new health issues.

Biopsy prior lap
I do not know if this is something normal before a
hysterectomy
and I am kind of scared. as if my fear for surgery is not enough. can anybody tell me what to expect at the biopsy please? Is is going to hurt? Is the pain unbearable, do I need to take painkillers?

Starting "zolodex" or Gnhr injections
So she has suggested starting the Zolodex injections as my cries for a
hysterectomy
are ignored again, but honestly i think at this point if she said try licking windows i would give it a go! lol Just wondering if anyone has any advice on how to cope on these and if they helped at all?

Living hell
I don’t know what to do, I know people who have had their prayers answered with the laparoscopy and I know others who have had a
hysterectomy
because nothing else worked (this has crossed my mind) All I know is that I cannot cope with this.

Abdominal ultrasound
I've had pelvic mri before which picked up endo everywhere and I'm awaiting surgery (endo,
hysterectomy
and bowel). I've not got abdomen pains so they've got me down for an ultrasound.

Help with first steps
Despite saying it needed investigation, her two proposals were either the merina coil OR
hysterectomy
. Is it just me or do those seem like two massively polar treatment options?!

Conservative or Radical Surgery?
I initially choose conservative with the excision of endo/cysts and unsticking of my organs but now I’m thinking maybe I should just go ahead with a
hysterectomy
. I know that’s not a cure either but I’m scared I’ll end up with multiple surgeries just because ‘I don’t feel ready for a
hysterectomy
’.

Could I have Endometriosis?
My Mother was left to suffer for 20+ years with endometriosis before the hospital finally gave her an
hysterectomy
and she had to have half of her bladder removed as her endo was so bad. She has said my symptoms sound very similar to hers. Does anyone else with endo have these symptoms?
