zejula or not?
I have OVC, 3C. had a total hysterectomy, salpingo-oophectomy and omentectomy. I have read that recurrence now is highly unlikely for me. I did well with chemo. Had two before surgery and 4 afterward.I am now in remission and my Ca_125 is a 5. Is taking Zejula worth it? I was told it may give 8 extra

Has anyone been able to opt for surgery/hysterectomy without going down the mirena / hormone route first under 40??
Hi everyone, adenomyosis was seen on my recent MRI and i have a history of endo. I previously tried mini pill and implant. My gyn wants me to try mirena but i dont really like the idea, i had a copper coil previously and had constant problems with yeast and urinary infections. Im 35 so they are dismissive

Can an Hysterectomy affect the thyroid?
A happy New Year to all My friend has suggested that her Thyroid stopped functioning within 12 months after removal of her ovaries 20 years ago Is this related ? She says the ovaries are the powerhouse of the endocrine system? I thought it would be the reproductive system? Not looking for right

Just Curious
When I had my Hysterectomy back in 2000, they found cysts and fibroids. Thus, they had to remove that ovary. Could this be happening with my Kidney and I just haven't been told to have a Cat Scan to find out? I wonder if I should tell my Neph about this.

Hysterectomy all done!
Hi my hysterectomy is complete and it was the best outcome I could have wished for. . Everything gone no endo left, and didn't need a bag. Surgeon thinks i wont need any more surgery. I'm so happy!! I'm in a lot of pain at the moment, a lot worse than before but I know it will go in time. Thank you

Questions about what happens after hysterectomy & unilateral ovary removal
Hi, Just trying to get my head round my options. I’m due to have an op to remove the endo on my bowel & will probably have a hysterectomy (due to adenomysis) and one ovary removed. I said that I’d prefer to keep my right ovary (which is healthy apparently) as I thought if I do that I might be able

Hysterectomy
I know there will be other people that have asked this question. But how easy is it to get a doctor to agree to remove both womb and ovaries? I'm 25 years old and i have never wanted children and the pain is getting unbearable. I currently live in the UK, i came here to study which is not going well

Frustrated with my recovery....
Had a total hysterectomy, bilateral salpingo oopherectomy and excision for Stage 4 Endometriosis on August 12th 2019 and recovery after this was slow as I expected. Was 12 weeks before going back to work and went back on reduced hours. Now January and still struggling. Don’t know what’s going on inside

Looking for advice
After not finishing final 4th infusion of carboplatin because of bad reaction again ( had reaction on 3 but finished after I was bombarded with antihistamines ) my ca125 was 31 after 5 but 35 after 4. Now 3 weeks later it’s 55 but I feel fine and look well. My only problems are all related to getting

Insomnia after hysterectomy?
Ladies I wondered if any of you had severe insomnia after your hysterectomy? I had my surgery on the 11th Dec and initially I slept for 12 hours for the first couple of days. Now I just lay wide awake in bed? I’ve tried hypnosis (recordings) I’ve tried lavender I’ve tried chamomile tea. Nothing is

Feeling a bit apprehensive
Monday I’ve got a scan on the kidney area as I have an occasional proper bleed in urine. Also have had quite a few bad UTI’s lately. Tuesday I’ve got cortisone injections in facet joints in my lower back, which I had done 12 years ago successfully. (Can’t wait as I’m in so much pain can hardly walk at

Prolapse
Hello, could really do with some advice and reassurance. Had a hysterectomy 8 weeks ago and just been told I have a prolapse. Does the discomfort ever ease? Or am I to feel like this for evermore? Thank you for any replies!
