Intro
Moved onto echo and mri, which led to my diagnosis of severe, but non obstructive
hypertrophic
cardiomyopathy
, scarred tissue in heart with an EF of 64, so not great but not too bad compared to a lot.

Reducing Bisoprolol and swollen ankles
I have
hypertrophic
cardiomyopathy
and have had pacemaker 25 years for ventricular bradycardia due to thickening of left ventricle. Do you think the reduction is causing the swelling? I feel so much better overall with the reduction. Many thanks

S-ICD vs my bra :-)
I have
Hypertrophic
Cardiomyopathy
and my risk has increased to the level where an ICD or S-ICD is required. I'm leaning more towards the S-ICD (less invasive etc) however I'm concerned about where the device sits with regards to my bra!

Trailfinders travel insurance- should I disclose heart condition??
I’m 48 and generally in good health apart from genetic
hypertrophic
cardiomyopathy
and mitral regurgitation, and although I’m fine on a day to day basis, I’m afraid they’ll ramp up the cost of our insurance and make it unaffordable. Any advice on past dealings with this company?

Possible HCM and very anxious
Hi everyone, I'm a 26 year old female and my father died from complications related to
hypertrophic
cardiomyopathy
when he was in his mid 40s. The family has been scanned but no one else seems to have the disease, including me.

How can I get acalabrutinib?
I am wary of Ibrutinib because I have borderline
hypertrophic
cardiomyopathy
(concerned about Afib). Some of you have tales about getting acalabrutinib offline and getting insurance to approve it.

I inherited
Hypertrophic

from, I presume my mother, but lucky enough with the proper medication, diet and keeping a regulated blood pressure has benefited me to an extended life. I am now 74 in age, so that original medical advice has proved correct.

Choosing a defibrillator
Hi, I’m a 24 year old female and I have just been diagnosed with
hypertrophic
cardiomyopathy
after collapsing during a run. Does anyone have any tips on how to chose between the two types of defibrillators and what life is like living with one?

Heart rate monitor for exercising with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy
Hello, I’ve recently been diagnosed with
hypertrophic
cardiomyopathy
and have no symptoms at all, it was only discovered through a routine health assessment. I am keen to continue to swim, walk and exercise, but keep my heart rate to moderate levels whilst doing so.

Dearest goodbye
I went through great lengths in taking him to UC Davis to the best vet specialist and it turns out he had
Hypertrophic
Cardiomyopathy
(HCM). He was 3 years old and the condition was something common in Maine Coon breeds. I believe he is no longer suffering and for that I am grateful.

ICD Asymptomatic Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy
I’ve had Hocum for 30 years and my new cardiologist recommends installing an internal cardiac defibrillator. Interested in hearing others experiences with an ICD. I’m active and regularly walk 10km/day and ocean swim 2-5km. I’m 59 yo. #icd #hocum #hypertrophiccardiomyopathy
