Trailfinders travel insurance- should I disclose heart condition??

Hello

Does anyone have experience of reporting a genetic heart condition to Trailfinders travel insurance? I’m 48 and generally in good health apart from genetic hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and mitral regurgitation, and although I’m fine on a day to day basis, I’m afraid they’ll ramp up the cost of our insurance and make it unaffordable. Any advice on past dealings with this company?

Hello and welcome to the forum!

Yes, yes and trice yes!

I recently posted about two people whose holidays went pear shaped because they were not totally honest. The bills can potentially be bankrupting! £50,000+ is not uncommon but we'll into six figures is not uncommon. I did arrange a holiday through Trailfinders some years ago but arranged insurance separately (diabetic). Try the companies in the pinned post but don't be foolhardy - people have lost their homes!

I think you’ll find the wording is “yes, yes and thrice yes”. 😂

Indeed - trice is shortly, soon! However, we have triceps and not thriceps! I blame the EU! :)

Thank you for your reply Michael. Do you have any experience with Trailfinders Travel Insurance?

Expensive with pre-existing condition which is why I went elsewhere!
