TURP alternative for BPH
I have BPH and eurology is not an option due to the size of the prostate. I’m in mid 50s otherwise good health. I’ve been told TURP is the only way to go. Does anyone know of any alternative to the TURP which seems to have mixed results? Thanks

BPH/Prostatititis as precursor to PCa diagnosis
I'm doing some research to correlate data from recent papers I've read and would like to know the stories of men whose prostate cancer diagnosis began with BPH and/or chronic prostatitis. What was the duration and progression of your PSA rise and at what point did you decide to have a biopsy.? Thank

Benign prostatic hyperplasia and Rezum treatment of the medium lobe
I have Benign prostatic
hyperplasia
and the biggest problem is the enlarged medium lobe...unrelated to the prostate cancer as evident by cystoscopy results. Does anyone have any experience in choosing the TURP procedure or Rezum and treatment on the medium lobe.

This is prompted by the recent post by justfor [1]. I was at my integrative medicine doctor yesterday. He's my enabler for off-label meds. We go back to 2006. When I took my most recent lab results (back then), he jumped all over the ferritin number. As I recall, it was in the upper-200s. He wanted

Help? I need advice. T3 makes me ill but gives me my brain back.
I have an adrenals Professor (Primary Aldosteronism
hyperplasia
and am on an Aldosterone blocker) and a thyroid professor (I had a TT in 2017) and never the twain shall meet. I show erratic cortisol levels (high and low) and they all think I'm a hypochondriac with an anxiety problem.

Prostate drug may slow Parkinson's disease
Terazosin helps ease benign prostatic
hyperplasia
(BPH) by relaxing the muscles of the bladder and prostate. But researchers believe it has another beneficial action, on brain cells damaged by Parkinson's.

MRI PIRADS 5, but Biopsy negative?
Hi, I am 64 years old. I had two MRI scans recently and both times PIRADS 5 lesion with extracapsular extension and probable invasion of the right seminal vesicle have been reported. After that I had Transperineal prostate biopsy and Histopathology reported no malignancy. I am totally confused and

Recovery after polyp removal and D and C?
I was expecting a diagnosis of
hyperplasia
but that's unclear yet and will have to wait on biopsies. Anyone else go through this and how long did they did it take to recover from a polyp removal with coul insertion and D and C? Google advice says no heavy lifting etc for a week or so.

reactive lymphoid hyperplasia
Hi guys, I had a colonoscopy and just received my letter to say they found some reactive lymphoid
hyperplasia
, anyone had this outcome? They said if my problems become worse then they will investigate my small bowel but don't want to give me too much radiation as I'm only 22.

A controversial topic: does "artificial" lowering PSA exist?
This is a topic coming up here lots of times when speaking about PSA measures. There are meds, off-label or ADT, but also supplements that may lower PSA. If you have BPH PSA will be higher, let's say "artificially" high, or better, does not relate to PSA from cancer cells (even if it can be a mix of
