Hello, I have hyperplasia, the benign type. I am weaning off of my combo her and starting progesterone tablets. Just wondering if anyone else has used the tablets and what side effects they had. I have to take them for three months.

Thanks!

Hi, I don't have hyperplasia but have been under surveillance for a suspicious looking cyst on my ovary (now gone) and prolonged bleeding every day for months. Im 40 so thought I was menopausal but im not🤷‍♀️

My gynaecologist put me on Norethisterone (progesterone) 50 mgs x3 each day to stop the bleeding and reset my cycle. I stopped taking the oral contraceptive about 16 years ago as it made me a bit nuts, and have had copper coils ever since. I was worried about taking hormones again after all these years but i was totally fine. The first few days I felt like i had morning sickness but that was all. I actually didn't want to stop them as my period was exactly when it was to be. I also increased a cup size during this time and it has remained that way.

I wouldn't worry too much .better to try for yourself than listen to other people's horror stories.

Best wishes

Thanks. Good advice. Why do you think you increased a cup size? Did you feel like you gained weight?
