FIRST LINE PV SURVEY
We propose to test Ruxolitinib (a JAK inhibitor approved in MF and patients with advanced PV) and compare it to Interferon or Hydroxyurea (
Hydroxycarbamide
).

Does anyone else get severe itching on their jaw? Peculiar I know!
I am on
hydroxycarbamide
each day and bloods are now doing really well. The doctors at the hospital are usually not interested in any other symptoms and said that once bloods are normalised I would feel better - but I don't!

Unclassified MPN, need help with this mystery diagnosis
I am new here. My husband has unclassified MPN, no mutations, no Philadelphia chrom. Doesn't fit in any category of ET, PV or MF, so it makes finding information close to impossible. Even the dr says little is known about this type. His WBC was 258,000 and hydroxyurea brought it down to 68000 and then

Can you take codamol with Hydroxycarbamide
Hi all, I've got a sore ankle from running and just wondered if anyone has taken co-codamol whilst they were on
Hydroxycarbamide
? I've taken paracetamol previously whenever I needed a pain killer but I thought these might work better. Mark

Guttate psoriasis
Anyone else out there with this issue ? I've had it for about a year. I have both cll and et(essential thrombocytosis-high platelets) and am on Hydroxyurea. I don't know if this kind of chemo is making it worse or what. I have read that this type of psoriasis could be a streptococcal thing. My GP has

Still got nasty toes!? Advice please.
I'm now off
Hydroxycarbamide
(less than a week) and on Anagrelide. My toes are still a mess. The "oldest" is starting to dry, but Now my big toe is swollen, red and weeping, the skin is starting to split open around the nail bed as well.

Recurring UTIs with Hydroxycarbamide
I have Polycythaemia Vera and take
Hydroxycarbamide
(16 per week). I have extremely painful urinary tract and bladder infections every 3 or 4 months. I have recently read that
hydroxycarbamide
can cause this which no one has every mentioned to me before.

Hydroxycarbamide to Angrelide?
I've finally seen a dermatologist today about my messy toe. She examined both my feet and said the problem was the hydroxy. I thought it originated from a scratch on my toe but she said that may have exacerbated it but she could see other toes which were starting to go red and the nail beds going crusty

ET and fatigue
Havent posted for a while......I was diagnosed with ET over a year ago and have been on
Hydroxycarbamide
ever since. The main effect on me has been fatigue, however my haemotologist says that neither the condition nor the medication would cause the dreadful tiredness I feel.

Red spots particularly on my legs
I do not want to view every physical change as a symptom of PV or a side effect of
hydroxycarbamide
. Just wondered if anyone else has experienced similar.

hydroxycarbamide
