Can you take codamol with Hydroxycarbamide

Hi all,

I've got a sore ankle from running and just wondered if anyone has taken co-codamol whilst they were on Hydroxycarbamide?

I've taken paracetamol previously whenever I needed a pain killer but I thought these might work better.

Hello. Yes you can I am prescribed it by my GP and checked with my Prof as well and I have been absolutely fine on it with no side effects x

It's pretty much the only painkiller you can take when you have PV, as that usually means you're likely to be on warfarin or another blood thinner. So painkillers like Ibuprofen are now off limits. Just be careful not to overdo things because of the codeine content.
