He went to the ER this weekend with severe flank pain and CT revealed left-sided hydronephrosis as likely cystic soft tissue mass obstructing the left ureter. An anterograde stent was placed after failure of retrograde stent. The cancer has progressed since his last CT in February.

I had 'kidney' pain last week (probably back ache looking back on it) and ended up in A and E after a call to 111 as I have this kidney red flag due to having hydronephrosis but the hospital doctor said I wasn't retaining too much wee [they measured it with an ultrasound thingy] and she was confused

Just had stints put in to ease pressure on both kidneys and relieve pain from Hydronephrosis. What would be the anticipated next steps?

I'm getting mixed diagnostics from my Urologist: I have a fully collapsed ureter + the severe hydronephrosis is not bad enough to plan the next procedure 4 weeks out. This doesn't seem to make any sense and I would like to review the diagnostics with another urologist or expert.

The enlarged tumour is causing pressure on the ureter, which is leading to hydronephrosis. They are recommending a stent, presumably until we can reduce the prostate. (Q: Is it bonkers to think that the prostate could be reduced through surgery?) 7.

Flow Rate is normal at 24cm/s The right kidney measures approximately 11.2 cm and demonstrates no hydronephrosis. IMPRESSION: 1. Enlarged and fatty liver 2. No cholelithiasis or biliary dilatation is seen. A small amount of gallbladder sludge is noted.

Anyway, I have stents due to hydronephrosis. My egfr was 22, then 20 in hospital last year. I have nephrostomy’s for a while. last week I felt very dehydrated due to my ileostomy being overactive. This has been an ongoing this but I haven’t bothered going to the dr about it.

Long story short, I got sudden hydronephrosis and passed a lot of sediment from my kidney that wasn't identified by the lab. At the same time I got the flu and had an embedded iud. I was in excruciating pain for a month and very sick with a fever for weeks.
