I finally had a response from my rheumie. My cortisol level continues to be low and I should be hearing from the endocrinology department for help and advice. I am to continue with 2mls or increase if I do run into trouble. My gp may give me some Hydrocortisone for any infection. At the moment my

Pompholyx
As mentioned in another thread I have incredibly bad pompholyx on the sole of my left foot this year - photos do not do justice to how itchy it can be! These pics are as it started to clear up and don’t really show how red raw the skin was after i’d scratched it off itching - it went on to be dry and

Worried about not being correctly diagnosed.
Hi all I hope you are all well? So I've been to the doctors many times about different things that I personally feel are linked to hypothyroidism such as: Dry skin on inner thigh, both knee caps, on right ankle and forehead. Cold fingers, toes and end of node (even in this heat) Periods have become

Anyone had to resort to anti-depressants due to Endo and pain pushing them beyond braking point!?
I've been suffering for many years but am saddened to say I honestly have hit rock bottom. I have had another hospital admission due to a ruptured ovarian cyst. But again it was a fight to be taken seriously have scans ect. Once they read your history they automatically presume it's "just the endometriosis

Prednisolone diary 11 - switching to methyl pred
As I posted recently, I've newly developed myositis and my rheumy was keen to give high dose iv steroids. But past experience has been that even small increases in my normal daily pred dose of 4mg causes incapacitating side effects. After discussion with endocrinologist, rheumy agreed to try some variants

the iCal-D3 tablets
I've just recently been diagnosed with -2.6 osteoporosis in spine and -2.5 osteopenia in hip. Following lots of research have decided not to take the usual drugs recommended by GP etc. Instead want to go via more natural route including Vitamin D3, calcium and also ordered K2-MK 7 that I had never heard

Thyroid Medication Issues On Hydrocortisone
Hi All, I have been hypothyroid for a long time and track temperatures and pulse etc frequently. I have never been able to get it under control properly and have had the best results on high t3, which always concerned me as taking 100mcg seemed crazy, but was the only thing that made me slightly better

‘Textbook asthma’ if there is such a thing!
Got told by the paramedics today that I’m an enigma! I’ve had asthma since I was two and I’m now thirty two, my wheeze has always been upper respiratory and my SATS are always 100% I have stridor with every attack and I’m that calm that paramedics have walked in and said, ‘oh it is you, you’re very

Does anyone have tips for treating psoraisis?
I have random patches of psoraisis that dont seem to be responding to the 1% hydrocortisone cream I've been using. It is ages until a GPs appointment comes through. Does anyone out there know of any way of alleviating the symptoms?

Is my constant itchy scalp neuritis?
My issue dates back 7 years where I had an intensely itchy scalp like a crawling sensation for a month. It has since come back for 2 weeks at a time then disappears. Until last year when it came back April 2017 it has gone for 2 months then has been there pretty much for a year. It is an unbearable need
