Thin Frenulum fears after brief steroid usage
Hello, I'm 22 in December I noticed a small nick on my frenulum and was told by a doctor to put steroid cream on it. I applied somewhat liberally for 5 days and then stopped, and afterwards noticed no pain but that my frenulum is much thinner now and I'm worried it's more much prone to to full tearing

8 years post circumcission
Still getting bouts of Balanitis despite have the circumcission 8 yrs ago. Only thing that gives any relief is the 1% hydrocortisone cream on prescription. Have tried lots of OTC stuff but nothing seems to work. Getting an answer/solution from docs is a nightmare even if you can get in to see one. Have

Sudden skin rash and splitting fingers
What is this? I do not believe it is eczema!!!! I was 100% healthy and fine until a miscarriage that lead to a procedure called a "DNC" where I was put under. I swore when I woke up, I felt different, strange and just wrong. I knew something was off immediately like they had left something in me after

Amber zone treatment
Hi all I am a brittle and severe asthmatic with a history of circa 10-14 admissions a year and multiple ICU admissions under my belt. Luckily, I’m relatively well between these flairs and am able to work. My local hospital is great and the consultants and respiratory ward nurses and drs. work hard

Taking T4, T3 and Hydrocortisone together?
Question re: taking meds together: Hello, Thanks for all your posts and advice; this is a helpful forum! I understand that the recommendation is to take your T4 (Levo, etc.) on an empty stomach to maximize absorption. Can you also take your dose of T3 and hydrocortisone with your T4? What if those are

Hashimoto’s and Travel Shots
Hello everyone. I had asked about travel shots a while ago. Now I have an appointment to get the shots in two days. The shots are, malaria, hepatitis B, yellow fever and typhoid. I am so nervous because I don’t want to react and become unwell because of my thyroid disease (autoimmunity). Any suggestions

A great hospital experience (if such a thing exists 😅)
Hi everyone Having had some truely terrible hospital experiences (and posted them on here), I thought I’d post about my most recent trip, which was about 90% positive ☺️ I’d been twitchy since last Saturday (ended up not being able to get out of bed without needing to nebulise/ventolin) due to a 7hr

Mom's in an induced coma to treat severe double pneumonia
Good Day to the HU community. Honestly don' t even know how to start this or why I'm even dumping on you guys. I feel like I just need some reassurance through this which I feel is the worst period of my life ever. A little history . Back in 2013 my mum was diagnosed with TB which damaged one of her

Bugs, bed and meds 🗣
A spoonful...🎶🎶 I must have counted 25 items this morning for breakfast.. So went to RBH again, told to start on rescue doxy, having prednisolone on top of Hydrocortisone and rest. I did yesterday, soup and bed rest! Well it must have been an infection that made me so short of breath because now I

Raised itchy welts
I’ve been on riveroxaban for 18 months following a heart attack. In the past 2 months I’ve developed raised itchy welts on my chest. Doctor gave me steroid cream which took it down but once I stopped it returned. Is this a side effect of riveroxaban? Going back to dr tomorrow.

This is an addition to other autoimmune conditions. Originally prescribed steroid cream for lesions and amitriptyline to aid sleep as legs painful

When it doesn’t rain it pours ☔️..
Hello my dear friends, I suppose it wasn’t going to be an easy ride.. Today was a difficult day. Tomorrow I’ll have my hair done and go to the ENO as planned. Then on the 22nd we’ll see if I am getting that referral to the pain clinic but Morphine?? That’s a spiral..Bea said acupuncture and infrared.

Prescription cortisone for adrenal fatigue?
I'd really appreciate some feedback on this. Diagnosed with adrenal fatigue by Hertoghe doctor in Belgium in 2011 (using 24 h urine analysis). Put on 4 mg of Medrol and told I could raise to 6 or even 8 mg daily if needed; apparently, 8 mg daily is the equivalent of 40 mg of bioidentical hydrocortisone
