New to PBC and Urso
Hi, I've recently been diagnosed with PBC, seems not a definitive diagnosis but consultant wanted me to start urso as he thinks it probably is this as ALP and GGT high although biopsy not very specific result and AMA negative.I started urso last week, a bit reluctantly as diagnosis seems a bit unclear

Urso for PBC
Hi everyone I'm fairly new to this group and I've posted a couple of times but have never received any replies so not sure if anyone can see my posts? I posted the following yesterday (since deleted the post as reposting now): I started on Urso 2 months ago for suspected PBC. While liver biopsy didn't

Blood results from the local NHS neurologist say: “Iron level 22 falls within normal range” Is this ferritin?! This was after 2 weeks of being on ferrous fumarate and it was 24! 🙄🙄🙄 I know the levels should be over 100 at least as per Mayo. 😡 Transferrin Saturations 26% Transferrin level 3.4

Chicken fear
this sounds so dumb but I just cooked dinner for my boyfriend and I. We made hibachi bowls with chicken. I cooked the chicken in the pan. It was chicken breast that I cubed. Cooked in the pan for 7-10 minutes. It looked cooked. The texture was somewhat stringy which I read is normal for chicken breast

Anybody with good results on Xeloda?
I was on Ibrance and Letrozole, then Verzenio and Faslodex and then Orserdu. Since Orserdu now failed, the next plan is Xeloda. I read here some reports about some bad side effects. My oncologist at Dana Farber gave me some choices and indicated that in my situation, Xeloda might be best. The

Haematologist’s unsupportive B12 response
In a recent pathology test, my gastroenterologist was concerned with my low haemoglobin count and a high reticulocyte count. She mentioned that although I’m low in ferritin (40) I’m not yet needing an iron infusion just yet. My white cell count was seemingly low also and she suggested that I should get

TROUBLE SLEEPING
I was diagnosed with PMR in July 2024 and am taking 12.5 mg prednisone as well as Kevzara. I have always been a poor sleeper but the steroids have made it even harder. The typical solutions such as Unisom, Tylenol PM, Melatonin etc just amp me up more. I occasionally take an Ambien just to sleep a

please advise
I need help for my husband. I’ve been here before. He started taking methadone and it seems the combination of that and the horizant is causing side effects such as panic attacks, feels like he can’t breathe when he lays down and can’t sleep. Sue - please advise. 🙏

Hi everyone, I’ve taken note of discussions on here regarding gut issues vis a vis under active thyroid. Does levothyroxine of itself also cause gut issues? Many thanks.
