Hi my fiance has been diagnosed with portal vein hypertension .he has got hydrocephalus and he has got a shunt. In 2022 he had jaundice and splenomegaly. Got his spleen removed. He has gall stones which makes his condition even worse. After splenectomy he hadn't faced any health issues.

On the mri they found hydrocephalus suggestive of NPH and partial agenesis of the corpus callosum. The neurologist I then went to see only said that it's probably congenital and might be causing my cognitive problems. But nothing about treatment or follow-up.

While it appears impossible to fully identify the cause, I suffer from hydrocephalus, so have had about 4 neurosurgical procedures. It is apparently common with those with my condition.

Hi I am new to this but here goes I had a accident coming up 7 years ago which resulted in needing to have brain surgery, due to obstructive hydrocephalus. Since this I've suffered with many problems but the worse being ongoing headaches which the hospital cannot figure out or help.

The hydrocephalus must have been a feature since not long after the surgery. I now feel as if I’m starting to reviver properly.

I underwent surgery at the Walton Centre in Liverpool, and had a VP Shunt inserted to treat hydrocephalus.

reading posts has made me wonder as I am going through hissing head after thirdventriculostomy for hydrocephalus back in 09 and it is still with me also horrible bad back pain which nothing seems to fix pain blockers etc I too feel I have lost myself and want to make appointment at GP but feel I am wasting

Any guys on here who have hydrocephalus and possibly a vp shunt to control it,able to share there experience in terms of sex life? Has it affected you in any way?
