I have Hydrocephalus and I’ve been told I need a shunt. I’ve just turned 70 and I’ve been told it only has a 50% success rate and if it’s successful, it will only last between 1 and 8 years. I’d appreciate knowing other people’s experience

I think you might need to find the hydrocephalus page to get the advice and help you need.

thank you Lynora, I think I’m already signed up to the page but if I’ve not, I’d appreciate knowing how to do that. Thanks

You could try the search icon at the top of this page (SearchHealthUnlocked) and type in hydrocephalus or Headway.
